The LTPC is now officially live! Only threads locked after this date and time will qualify for the game. I will take care of the first few point updates (both in the CGC/CBCS Game Threads and the Ditch Points Thread) in order to establish a format and to make it easy for you guys. All you have to do is post a link, and I'll do the rest. After that, this game will be self-serve and require no Game-Master. Please feel free to discuss anything and everything you want in this thread, but please keep the CGC/CBCS Game Threads and Ditch Points Thread free of discussion. I will move or delete any discussion posts from those threads. If you have any questions, please feel free to post them here; but please read the rules first. Enjoy. Oh...and major props to Andy (thirdgreenham) for being Game-Master of the original game for so long.

Can we get the threads here locked? You can try. Obviously moderation is not so tight here. What sort of topics get threads locked? 1) Politics? 2) Blatant violation of trading rules? 3) Comparing someone's post to Hitler? 4) Shills & shades? 5) The fact there is no way, in any universe, that the Hulk could beat Superman? Any of those work? Help me out a little here

If someone doesn't start a global warming thread pretty soon, I'll do it myself. 2) Blatant violation of trading rules? >> ? 3) Comparing someone's post to Hitler? >> Godwin's Law is inevitable. Why fight it? See if you can work Hitler into the Foodie area discussions. 4) Shills & shades? >> Haven't seen any. 5) The fact there is no way, in any universe, that the Hulk could beat Superman? >> Superman is dead. Long live Hulk.

I don't think Jesse_0, or any mod/admin should get points. After all he's probably the one who locked the thread. All it will take for mods to rack up points will be to make a final post in the thread and then lock it. Built in advantage over anyone not on the mod team

But then...what would we do with CGC mods? Some of them don't want to be identified. If we omit them...it identifies them.

We know who one of them is and we can speculate on others but unless they get outed, it's only speculation. We know that Jesse_O is a mod on the CBCS forums. It says moderator right under his name. For those we know, I don't see it as an issue and I'd rather not have anyone have an undue advantage in the game. It's only fun if it's random, unpredictable and chaotic. A mod making the last post and then locking a thread is none of that

So, we omit 'official' moderators, and the volunteer moderators without 'official' status we treat as regular boardies. I'll add this to the rules, and also update the CBCS points.
