I love the designs of the building. Nothing like that where I'm at.

I'm fascinated by haunted buildings. We (reportedly) have quite a few in my county, Hampshire. Some sources say it's the most haunted county in the UK, if not the most haunted place in the world (...not sure how they'd qualify that). It's mostly traditional hauntings, e.g. previous occupants who met a tragic end, but we have the odd celebrity such as Oliver Cromwell. Although he didn't die in Hampshire, it's alleged you can see his ghost marching his troops north following a successful battle campaign.
Some of these old haunted buildings are run as hotels for patrons wishing to stay in a haunted house. Anyone up for it...?
Next time I'm in England I'd love to We have some haunted stuff around here, here's the church I was baptised in: Old Trinity Church: Brooklyn This Anglican church, the oldest in Connecticut, is reported to have dark secrets buried on the grounds. While the strange, cross-shaped clearing near the church cemetery is creepy enough, the things reportedly seen there are even worse. Witnesses claim to have seen the spirits of young girls roaming here, supposedly because this was a haunting ground of serial killer Michael Ross. While the story of him writing in blood on the side of the church may be exaggerated, the fact that he was a resident of the town leaves us to draw our own frightening conclusions. Some visitors report seeing apparitions, while others insist the only ghost here is the Holy Ghost.

My building's very old(for Ottawa,1882) and Mrs.Porcupine has claimed we have a ghost for nearly two decades,as well as several friends have said they've seen the same 'fella' lurking about the hallway that leads to the back of the flat.I've thought i've seen some odd shadows about,but... Who knows what has happened in this old place. We do know, that about six months before we moved in,we used to live in the building next door, the tenant in the place upstairs(two flats in the building, one floor is ours, then upstairs)killed herself and was not discovered for about five six weeks, when the folks living here at the time complained of a terrible smell...

I used to work in a store that had been around for 50+ years. I was in the stockroom one day and I heard something really weird go in one ear and out the other. As I moved my head, I saw something that I that was about 12' to my right. The boxes behind it was clear as day except where this thing was standing/floating/whatever. I couldn't make out what it was other than it kind of look like water running over a pane of glass. It took a second for it to register in my head that whatever it was wasn't normal.

We'll take in a haunted house, a visit to the countryside, a day trip to London, and tea with the Queen. Well maybe not that last one... Apparently I'm not welcome back after the last time

Some of our longstanding employees claim our department is haunted. I remember doing the night shift in the room where it was claimed this ghost had been seen. I was a little apprehensive but put it out of my mind... Unbeknown to me, my colleague had walked in behind me - as quiet as a mouse - and started tidying up some boxes on the floor. I turned round and got the shock of my life It was the only time she ever heard me use the F word...
Something similar recently happened to a friend of mine. It was a neighbour he knew well. Poor chap was traumatised.

It was a really old building and I heard a lot of stories about people seeing things before it happened to me. They tore down the building a few years ago to put in a grocery store but I'm sure the new tenants are probably seeing some weird happenings there.

What happened to the apparition? i don't know. Once I realized what it was I took off running. It wasn't a ghost. Ghosts don't exist. It was probably a Yautja with Active Camouflage. Good thing you took off.

I have to say, despite living in the "most haunted country in the world", I tend to think along the same lines as Ditch... There are no ghosts. But I'm still fascinated by them. I realise there's a lot of weird stuff that goes on in the world that's never going to get a rational explanation. Sounds like your experience was of them. Half of me wants to see something like that, the other half is content not to!

We have another local "haunted" area that some people don't believe is haunted per se, despite apparitions and weird noises. Like you guys, they don't think they're ghosts, but some weird time-travel dimensional thing. Bara-Hack Settlement: Pomfret Nestled deep in the forest of Eastern Connecticut, this paranormal gem has been reporting activity since the 1700's when it was founded. It certainly isn't called the "Village of Voices" for nothing. Visitors have reported hearing a wide variety of spectral sounds, ranging from children laughing to horse-drawn wagons. This abandoned village has even been rumored as an influence for The Blair Witch Project. The site consists of a main "downtown" area – basically a congregation of foundations. A path branches off here, leading to an old cemetery. Here lies the most commonly reported ghost of Pomfret, which witnesses can only describe as a baby sitting in the elm tree that towers over the small graveyard. Strangely enough, this baby has been consistently seen since the settlement was founded. An explanation has been offered up as the cause to Bara-Hack's haunting, although it has nothing to do with ghosts. Some say the walls of time are thin here, making these woods an actual window to the past.
