Discounting the original racist connotations connected to the phrase "darktown", this is an enjoyable toe tapper. Hard to believe the tune itself is nearly a century old. Very fun song. There's some great songs from back in the day before the guitar become a norm. I used to enjoy all the songs Ricky performed on I Love Lucy, too. |
