I did a local show today and spent way too (will post those purchases in the Garage/Flea thread) however I was done spending then saw this and had to open the wallet again. I have no place for it, but it's too damn cool.  |

I flew to Boston with a short box of stuff to have signed. Sam said he would sign for free, and there was no limit. He showed up wayyyyy late on Friday. When Chandler Rice, of Desert Winds comics, saw there was a stack, he decided to shove his fat nose into the situation, and then Albert Moy, his "art rep", decided to announce that any books for CGC would be $20 per book.
I had talked to Sam, and he said he would sign for me on Sunday, and we could work out a price directly.
He showed up Sunday, but wouldn't sign.
I got about 20 books done, at a cost of well over $1,000 for the trip...the only reason I was there.
Sam Kieth broke my heart. Over money.

I'm terrible at looking things up, do you know the print run of that book? I thought it was around the 5000 mark.
I'm pretty sure they all had stickers. Like I stated in the thread, I found mine in the bag I got it in. The glue was almost non existent. Notice I scored a 9.6. That's how much residue was left on the cover (I'm pretty sure they couldn't even tell a sticker was there to begin with)
How I wish I kept that sticker now.....

Yes, the print run was 5500, though I'm not 100% on that. I believe it was the same as Pitt #1, which WAS 5500. They did not all have stickers. Of that, I am very sure. I have owned one since very nearly when they came out. |
