Cool! What's on the extra pages? The same book, but the 2nd half of it (last 32 pages). Makes me wonder if there's an issue out there with the 1st half. |

How could the seller not be aware of such a thick book? All my error finds were from big inventory sellers. My guess is grading is being done from the front through the bag. If MCS had inspected the interior of the GS Superstars 1 I bought from them, they'd have discovered the double cover before shipping it. |

I recently found a double cover Shazam #4 in one of my boxes. The seller(s) must have opened it at least twice, because it was priced, crossed out, and re-priced on the first page. I don't even remember buying this as it's not something I collect. And I probably never opened it until recently.   |

I actually subbed 2 books (Royer File Copies) to CBCS at SDCC  One was a Kamandi #2 with a double cover. |

Thanks- Just novelty items really, and while I've paid for books with Newton rings, I wasn't going to pay to HAVE a book slabbed with them. I have many file copies I have no interest in "establishing", but the 2 books were there (SDCC), Mike was there, and CBCS was there with no customers on Preview night. I figured wth  Plus now I'll have at least a minimal informed opinion of their service. I HATE order forms, and every time a discussion covers tiers and blah blah blah I think, "screw that". Having them fill it out and verifying for accuracy before submitting took minutes, so I'm happy so far  Submitting at a con seems the way to go, though again, there was no line. Once the convention officially started on Thursday, I don't think I ventured to that end of the building again. I have no idea what kind of wait anyone has, hence the " minimal informed opinion". I'd be shocked if the book got better than 9.2- Mike didn't store his books with the intent to [necessarily] preserve. Any of his books that would get NM- or better likely weren't handled after he moved to Oregon and stored them. The other book is Black Panther #1- Might get 9.4 - Too bad that also wasn't a double cover. Those double covers seek ME out  |
