They're much bigger than silver, and I think it completely filled the silver/gold bag into which I transferred my #2. If you want a boarder around the edges, I'd suggest gold. I had forgotten about that #2. Thanks Siggy and you too Ditch. I've been wanting to get mylars and regular bags for that matter for some of my Ticks, but never knew what size would be best That was quick

I finally ordered 725M2 Mylites2 (600) and 700HB Halfbacks (500) directly from the E. Gerber site because it is a lot cheaper than Ebay or Amazon. My grand total with shipping is $193.00! Not bad for 600 bags and 500 boards.

Not bad for 600 bags and 500 boards. I read this post and thought "is he bagging Moderns?" so then I re-read the initial post and saw this: "(Current) 700M2 and (Standard) 725M2 mylars are the only two sizes that will fit in a regular comic book box and a drawerbox - for all other sizes, you'll need to either use the E Gerber acid-free comic book boxes (which are wider than a regular comic book box), Magazine-sized boxes or CGC-sized boxes." I have to disagree with this for some reason. I have no idea why my 750FB and 775M2 fit in my boxes if that is true. Are my long books wider than usual? Most of them are older boxes (some are 20 years old). When they say "fit" do they mean "the Mylar doesn't touch the box on either side" which is friggin crazy? I'll never be that anal. Is it that most collectors would consider my books as "not fitting"? They're not tight on the sides so no damage is being done. I'll have to look closer, maybe they fold over a little on the seam. I guess I never noticed that paragraph. Anyone have any observations?

When I ordered a boat load of 750FB and 775M2 years ago, I was lead to believe I needed magazine boxes, which of course leaves a gap on both sides, fit flush with older ones, and don't fit at all in yet other older ones. I prefer the flush fit.

I read that Silver Age comics fit fine in the 725's...hope that is correct? I have finally gotten tired of the old poly bags. I have comics I bagged a year and 2 years ago and the plastic is already wavy and no longer looks presentable! It seems to be getting more expensive to keep replacing poly bags so finally decided to stop. And of course the mylites2 are so clear and make the comics look great.

They do, but if the book has a spine roll it can be tight. Books that are slightly frayed are at risk because the sides are closer.
