You're conflating multiple things. You always do this. There are multiple roadblocks to using AI for a final product. Reread the thread. It's all detailed there...in detail.

I'm not conflating anything. You specifically said 'it's complex', i.e. HARD TO DO. It was your whole point. You're as much of a con man in debate as you are in comic book buying and selling.

I've never conned anyone, ever. You removed my posts out of the context of the greater discussion. AI may be able to grade books to within a reasonable range or degree of accuracy but you need to be capable of handling the book for AI imaging to be functional. The book needs to be handled, turned, pages need to be inspected, weighed, etc. You don't just "AI" the book through osmosis. What I stated was that it was too difficult to do profitably and efficiently based on all the variables involved AT THIS TIME. When you intersect time constraints, profitability, costs, tech capability and all the other variables, it proves "too difficult" to do properly. That's when namisgr piped up with a page-turning robot that looked ridiculous, and Flying_Donut showed a robot that images books at 10 second a page. All ridiculous suggestions in the context of the discussion. Post a link to the thread. All of these points are clearly spelled out by me in the discussion.

I'm not conflating anything. What I stated was that it was too difficult to do profitably and efficiently based on all the variables involved AT THIS TIME. In other words, it's too difficult to do. We're not in the future. So AT THIS TIME, you see it as too difficult to do. Got it. That's what I said. You really are a shady used car salesman in every way.

Cutting someone's sentence in half to misrepresent what they said is as shady as it gets. I never do that. You're trying to create a 'gotcha' moment where there isn't one. Why don't you add a link to the entire discussion?

Hi Guys, I'm going to be making changes to the Controversial Topics board to provide TCBF a better balance between comic book posts and non-comic posts. It's currently out of proportion and needs to be adjusted or we will continue to lose new and old members who want the focus to be on comic books. This can be done by either limiting the amount of non-comic posts, or increasing the number of on-topic comic book posts. I'm choosing the latter method. I think you'll like these changes because I'm trying to make it a fun process. Here are the changes in a nutshell: 1) The Controversial Topics board will be visible to everyone, not just members who are logged in. 2) Full access to this board (the ability to create new threads and reply to posts) can be acquired through forum participation. 3) Members can earn money by making on-topic posts in the Comic Books and Journals boards. This money can then be used to purchase full access to the Controversial Topics board through the TCBF store. I know what is driving people away from this board.

One problem that I've personally experienced on this forum is the ability of people to perpetually attack people. I don't mind the odd snarky comment but what's happened over the last few months here has been outrageous with people openly dogging me, replying disingenuously and slandering / liballing. People generally don't want to see this sort of thing. It's a huge turnoff, and moderation allowing it consistently and perpetually certainly plays a large factor in how people feel about a site. I certainly admit to not participating as often in comic related topics as I could or even should, but even there I've been dogged by people and just have no desire to try to have fun in a sandbox where people take things too far, or can't measure their replies and keep them in scope to the discussion at hand. Kav's post above is a perfect example. It's unwarranted, unsolicited and it's perpetual. Is there anything that can be done about this?

I told you last time I was here that, "The mods are doing a great job. Regarding trolling, they use criteria that doesn't allow for even the slightest participation, otherwise it's viewed as a lively conversation/debate between two consenting adults." linkI've talked to the Mods, and they believe you are a participant. They also showed me evidence to support that opinion.

They also showed me evidence to support that opinion. Nope. I specifically notified moderation that I would not interact with certain personalities and went literally weeks without my interacting with them. They were continued to allowed to interact with me, incessantly hounding me even without my replying to them. They threw everything including the kitchen sink at me. I even asked moderation how long of a non-interaction or "non-participation" is considered "not participating" before moderation does something about it and never got a reply. I finally started answering back when it was clear that moderation wasn't going to stop them from behaving this way or slandering and libelling me publicly. So what you stated was supposed to happen is not what happened in my perception. I don't want to get into a back and forth, mainly because I hate troubling you with it, but it would be nice to know how much "non-participation" is considered "non-participation" since I went several weeks without replying to specific members and none of them were moderated to my knowledge as they continued to hound me with one sided insults.

Roy, I don't want to get into a back and forth either, so let's not. You asked a question...I tried my best to answer it. Let's get back to the original thread discussion.
