Pootin hysteria is more unhinged than TDS.
The USG propaganda machine will overload & meltdown at this rate.
Time for peace talks, and for the 4 areas in question to return to the safety of Russia rather than being tormented by Ukraine & its Nazi battalions, all backed by the most powerful and dangerous empire in world history.
IMHO of course.

While we can't know the full behind the scenes details of everything that went on, and what each country received overall (this won't be known until well after we're dead, if then), a couple observations:
1) We can "successfully" negotiate with Russia for a baller, but Ukraine can't negotiate for peace, and the return of the 4 overwhelmingly Russian regions in Ukraine which the incomprehensibly corrupt Zelensky and his Nazi troops have been tormenting for years now?
2) There's a reason Russia has produced the greatest chess players in world history (save for US chesser Bobby Fischer), and swapping a king for a pawn sure looks like a losing strategy to me; game to Russia.
But time may tell a fuller story.

I can't access the video above, but I'm not a fan of World War III, and clearly we're there.
The USG wlll have spent close to a quarter of a TRILLION dollars by the end of the year on World War III in Ukraine, and it's only going to get worse.
Much much much worse.
See USG Patriot Missile deployment, which is a blatant and open declaration of world war comparable to Hitler invading Poland.
Any and all success Ukraine is having in facing Moscow is due to the fact that the USG Deep Swamp had been blueballing for WWIII for many years now, and installed a compliant president in Biden via the successful political weaponization of Covid. (They wanted WW3 under Hillary, but Trump derailed that, so had to be destroyed.)
So I'm not cheerleading anything except immediate negotiations for the return of the 4 disputed regions to Russian control, and a complete cessation of hostilities.

Per The Times report, Russia's invasion plans showed that the military expected troops to march across Ukraine and swiftly take control of the country, with officers being instructed to bring along their dress uniforms and medals for military parades in Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital. The Russian military, which was seen as a formidable force before the conflict, in actuality had been "severely compromised" by longstanding corruption, per the report. www.businessinsider.com/russian-troops-ukraine-use-wikipedia-weapons-instructions-obsolete-maps-putin-2022-12

Wagner’s involvement in the Ukraine air war became evident no later than late May, when Ukrainian troops firing a Stinger shoulder-fired, infrared-guided missile shot down an Su-25 over Popasna, 20 miles east of Bakhmut in eastern Ukraine’s Donbas region. The BBC confirmed the man who died behind the Su-25’s controls while supporting the Russian attack around Popasna was Kanamat Botashev. The 63-year-old Botashev was retired. He left the Russian air force as a general back in 2012 after “borrowing” a Sukhoi Su-27 fighter—a type he was not qualified to fly—and crashing it after a brief, acrobatic joyride. Following his retirement, Botashev reportedly signed with Wagner. A month later, Ukrainian 72nd Mechanized Brigade troopers packing an Igla shoulder-fired missile shot down another Su-25 and captured Andrey Fedorchukov, the jet’s aging pilot. Fedorchukov told his interrogators he was on a $3,200-a-month Wagner contract. Ukrainian troops also used a shoulder-fired missile to down the Su-24 over Bakhmut in December. The pilot and co-pilot both died and Russian forces retrieved the bodies. Russian media identified the crew as Alexander Antonov and Vladimir Nikishin. Photos indicate both aviators were in late middle age—and presumably had retired from active military service before joining Wagner. www.forbes.com/sites/davidaxe/2022/12/17/russias-shadowy-mercenary-air-force-is-losing-more-and-more-jets-in-ukraine/?sh=f0f15cf110c3

desperate MFrs Moscow has begun a new campaign to encourage Russians to enlist in the armed forces and fight in Ukraine, despite the Kremlin having denied needing more recruits. In an attempt to attract more volunteers to the front, Russian propaganda videos posted on social networks in the past few days are trying to appeal to Russian men through the narratives of patriotism, morality and upward social mobility. One of the videos, posted on December 14, features a young man who is choosing to fight instead of partying with his male friends and then surprises everyone by buying himself a car with the money he made from fighting on a military contract. In another video, posted on December 15, the former girlfriend of a soldier is newly impressed with his courage and begs him to get back together with her. A further example shows a middle-aged man leaving the factory job that doesn’t pay him enough to sign a military contract and go to the front. Another of the videos shows a group of 30-something, well-off Russian men loading a car as they are asked by elderly women where are they going. One of the men replies: “To Georgia. Forever.” When one woman spills a bag of groceries, the men just get into the car and leave, instead of helping, while younger Russian men rush to pick up the groceries. “The boys have left, the men stayed,” one of the elderly women concludes. www.cnn.com/2022/12/17/europe/moscow-army-recruits-intl/index.html

Your $ estimate is low, and mine's projected through the end of the year, so (likely too) high. I'm sure the Russian military, like all military entities, is massively corrupt/compromised, yes. And of course Kiev was the target; the head of the beast. The Russian Bear has been insanely poked and provoked by the USG with increasing frequency and intensity since 2014, and well before that as well. I'm happy to discuss why World War III is a VERY bad thing, and I don't buy into the whole Putin as clownish/evil Hitler bit. He/Russia are no more or less evil than Biden/the USG. Which is to say very, very, VERY evil.
