A spectacular and thorough article that I posted elsewhere on this forum about the gaslighting surrounding the Capitol Hill protests of Jan 6.
Under pressure, the New York Times has finally retracted its false story about Sicknick. Amazing how that works.
Now how do they retract the damage done to the country because of their misleading article that an entire impeachment was built around?
Do they get tarred and feathered and does someone go after them for inciting political unrest on a nation of people?
Just. Amazing.

I haven't any idea where the italics came from but I like them. how do you feel about no caps? In the words of a CGC board member.....oh, that's good.

There's no place for caps in a civil society. They're symbolic of oppressive power structures. It's time we dismantled them forthwith, posthaste, tout suite, &c.

Thanks. I was too busy keyboard pounding personal attacks against the CGC Boards' educated class to notice, I reckon.

I'm also going to add that if EVERYONE stood up and opposed the hypocrisy and personal attacks that people dish out the way a select few have then they wouldn't do it anymore. I'm fighting your hypocrisy as hard as I can. I would be doing better if there were no Mods here.

Mark Zuckerberg has been making free money off of it's 3BIL users for years but when being forced to pay for news content being shared on it's platform has decided stopping all news sharing in Australia.
Google is striking a deal with Australia apparently.
This is big news and I expect other countries to follow suit.

This story gets more interesting.
Apparently, Australia was in the middle of negotiations with Mark Zuckerberg when Zuckerberg 'flipped a switch' and just switched off all news related items without warning in Australia.
This caused all sorts of havoc as many companies got caught up in the shut down that had nothing to do with news and their unrelated serviced were disrupted. This includes all sorts of fields of service that were using Facebook for their businesses.
This sort of flippant behavior, where the lives of literally billions of people can be affected by one person flipping a switch of some sort is just another proof that big social media has become too powerful.
They can literally turn on and off anyone and anything they want arbitrarily whether it's the President of the United States or an entire country.
This is scary chit.

So, Parler was shut down because it was involved in creating an 'insurrection' on Capitol Hill.
Facebook and Twitter permanently deleted the account of the president of the United States for this same thing.
What they didn't tell you is that Facebook, Twitter and YouTube were the most popular instruments used in the protest on Capitol Hill.
Why weren't Facebook and Twitter deleted?
Fascinating to watch this unfold.

Every representative of the people is going to dance around 230. Having listened to the confirmation hearings of Judge Garland, the "merits" (clever, huh ) may or not be an immediate pursuit of inquiry by the Justice Dept.
