I'm seeing this nonsense on my facebook-why do ppl fall for this stuff?

It depends in how you use it.

Facebook has actually reacquainted me with people who I thought were lost to me over the years.   When I was a kid there was no email, or cell phones or anything like that so it's been nice to get back in touch with childhood and high school friends that I lost touch with over the years.   I have a chat with two high school friends that I look forward to reading every day. 

Facebook groups have made me a lot of money in clearing out things that I no longer need and allowed me to purchase a few things for my hobbies that were not available through auction houses but from person to person sales. 

There is a group on Facebook comprised of everyone in my industry.  It's interesting to see what others are doing and how they are doing it. 

But, no, I do not go through Facebook for my news.  I think I went through my breaking point with I noticed people posting fake executive orders of both Trump and originally by Obama, detailing executive orders that not alone never occurred but the numerical order had not even been reached yet. 

Facebook does have quite a bit of use though, depending on how you use it. 

I grew up not watching television as much as other people.

I think that's part of the reason I think so differently than the mainstream. 

If you can live without it, do without it. 

The only reason I follow media besides business is to see what the enemy is up to. Nothing more. 

People who are too deeply tapped into the mainstream can't think independently like those who aren't.

I'm fairly certain that most people can't relate to this.
