The more rounded edges and lack of visible “seams” makes a big difference over the old CBCS case, as does pushing the label towards the top of the case to create just the smallest bit more separation from the comic. It's just visually more appealing. I’ll have to check out the reviews on the other links a bit later, curious as to what(if any) negatives they would assign(other than weight). I still don’t like the font used for the numerical grade, but maybe I’m just so used to the CGC label.

So, as I understand it, ALL signature books will now have a yellow label, regardless of whether they are actually witnessed or verified. If so, I can say without hesitation that this is going to be a problem for a lot of collectors. Most signature collectors I know do not like verified signatures and want an easy way to avoid (screen) them. Using the same label for both verified and witnessed signatures is going to cause confusion, and will probably dilute the demand for witnessed CBCS books - this is probably not a great idea given the premium that CGC books already enjoy. link

Not familiar with Simpleman, and overall his review was fine, but two points bugged me. He brings up the “competitor” and their use of micro chamber paper and seems to imply the chamber paper is the cause of Newton rings. This is at 3:20. The second is his mention of the CBCS VSP switching from red to yellow labels which he says he likes, but offers no reason whatsoever. I’m thinking there’s people that (even if subconsciously) just want to muddy the waters when it comes to labels noting sigs on books.

Like I always say, "Comic book collectors understand science like a dog understands Sunday." Outside of the pictures, these YouTuber evaluations are completely worthless.
