We often griped here that the moderately successful US bands never really "bothered" with the U.K. Thank f**k in their case.

No, the rights reverted back to Joe because Morris oh we oh we owed Joe money. Steve Miller also tried to get in on The Time royalties but was denied. The judge cited the case of T. Petty v. P. Floyd, stating that two bands CAN have a song with the same title. I was joking! This is all a lie.

You need more proof than "Jungle Love"? Yes. Never heard of it. From the info that's available I would have to assume they didn't travel very well. Maybe in Japan. Uff da and bah! "Jessie... give me one of them sexy solos... right here". I think we've had this problem with one hit wonders before. Are you the jackanape that thinks Black Betty by Ram Jam sucks, hmm?

Even if you don't like a band/artist, as a live music fan any touring has a big upside overall IMO. From in state, in or out of country, successful tours encourage more tours. Venues more willing to host, promoters more active, fans supporting the "scene" as a whole, both financially and artistically, etc. There's a "snowball" effect, pro or con. My perspective comes from living in an area where live shows were a rarity, and a larger metropolitan area where there were shows every night, and often multiple shows of interest on the same day.

Respectful disagreement noted. You make a good argument however there are some artists you just can't argue a case for. It's bands like Suicidal Tendencies that really could've made a difference, however they chose to limit their UK tours to one stop in London because "it wasn't worth it." Other bands would only do 3-4 dates then move into Europe, but happy to play any sh*thole there. We never really got a lot love here.
