What amazes me most about the pre-hero Marvel stuff is...they were published at the exact same time as Superboy, Lois Lane, Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Green Lantern, Justice League...
...and yet those issues are common compared to the pre-hero stuff. Easy as dirt to find.

Maybe parents that were inclined to toss out their kids comic books-likely happened to us all,I remember my dad arguing with mother about her trying to,'some of those comics are MINE' - went after the monster books a lot quicker than the campy pastel hero books of the time?The DC horror books from that era are a tad more difficult as well-I haven't went down that path much,but do keep an eye open. Maybe the parents were of an age that they remembered the comic burning hysteria-poor,poor pre code books,sniff-in their youth and were just following what they'd seen,been taught by disposing of them?
