“Dang kid is always grabbing at my smokes. I’ll get ‘im his own!”  According to info on the intra-webs, the 59 cent price of this toy was about double the cost of a regular pack of Lucky’s, Camel, Marlboro, etc. The date appears to be ‘65 or ‘66. |

We know the lighter is just a small light bulb, but I couldn’t find any mention of the battery on the various sites I looked at. 9 volt makes sense as those were fairly common in toys in the 60’s(apparently), but I don’t know much about ‘A’ size batteries beyond their being a small size. |

If I didn’t know the ping pong video was phoney-baloney I’d be burrowing underground with some canned goods and my fancy atomic lighter that’s windproof, rechargeable, and sold only on tv.
