I think it may be a Scottish term I picked up from friends/parents coming up that were first gen Canadians, but brown was a term used for bad or angry.Like'This heat is really starting to brown me out'or something goes poorly'that's a browner'.I don't use it as much as some people tried to claim is was a racist thing, but I always saw it as like off, brown off?Any insights anyone? Like if you're getting angry-I'm browning out'!

Jesus, are you talking about the 'you can't taste rasism' scene? Took me a second.

Jesus, are you talking about the 'you can't taste rasism' scene? Took me a second. I was thinking of Randal and how he thought some words were okay because his family taught them to him, like the phrase he wants to "take back" and what his grandma called a broken beer bottle

I really do think it was meaning like shiite, but I see how it can be interpreted in a negative light so I don't really use it anymore.I never used it in the negative connotation as some people could see it,nor did my chums a few that are still S.H.A.R.P. today.

That's an old fashioned English term. I haven't heard it since I was a kid. Possibly a PC thing but I never heard anything to support that. Terms seem to come and go over the years. Like div. I'm the only person left (I know) who uses it.

That's probably the real reason why no one says it anymore. People stopped saying it before everything became PC.

I'm not sure the current format of Survivor is working. I don't know whether it's because people have lost interest but the turnaround period is 24 hours. Maybe we should go back to waiting one turn only? Or adding in something like a 12 hour rule?
Oh and Chaykin sucks

Oh and Chaykin sucks From having done this in the past I'm going to say a small part is waning interest, and a large part is lack of participants. It is nice to see people are "clicking" on the longbox books, so at least we can see more folks are interacting with the site even if they aren't posting. Was swass from Mall Rats or Clerks? It's from Sir Mix-A-Lot. The album that includes the classic "Posse On Broadway" and a collaboration with Metal Church on "Iron Man".
