Hopefully this helps here, as he was going after Namor a bit in the CGC thread. CGC member Poutine is METALPSI, now thrice banned, that we know of, at least. He'll probably have signed up here again.About the book, I find the arguments interesting, but need to read the whole thing to get a proper idea of it all. I hope it does well for you, mate. Did Poutine get banned too? I dont see him over there anymore. Yeah, Mike banned him. His note in the Mod section is the only way I knew about it, although tbf I haven't been around much. |

April 19, 2021. Unless I am remembering incorrectly, the Metal PSI account was banned after that account was created. If there was one "sleeper" account, I would assume there was another if not more. |

Stu? It's factually true. During the pandemic, Mike allowed 100s if not 1000s of insults against me that were contentious and unnecessary just because I disagreed politely with people, and Moderation struck me down for most of the time, just trying to defend myself or my points. I've pushed back on CGC and they've finally amended their policy to try to deter contentious posts. I'm just guessing here, but I'm assuming that the Meyers $10MIL lawsuit over how public posts on the chat forums is considered evidence was a factor. CGC has a public responsibility for how their forums are managed. It's about time Moderation started moderating, rather than choosing sides. Please expand on this. I find this fascinating. I've been in an ongoing dialogue with CGC higher ups, sharing screenshots of threats CGC board members have openly made towards others showing intent. I've also been able to show a pattern of behavior by some who have clearly not been acting in good faith and looked to be acting as bad actors and agitators. namisgr, who is just one of the members, completely disappearing from the Comics side of the forums, and being almost wholly absent after I received my 6 months strike and then returning the week I arrived back was the icing on the cake. Or the smoking gun. Your choice. Either way, it was a brilliant display of bad behavior.  The bottom line is that what was happening is rather than limiting contentious behavior on both sides, moderation was choosing between sides. That wasn't moderation, it was favoritism, as supported by the poll we had in the Watercooler 2 years ago when 44% of the forums (out of 90 something votes) voted that they thought Mike was biased and choosing sides. I could be wrong, but I do think all of these things have affected how the forums are now being moderated. |

Do you remember when you stated that none of us would ever tell you to your face what we say about you online? Do you remember that I said I would happily do so? I need to know if I have to spend the money for a four day pass to NYCC so I may prove that your claim is in error. The thing is, with the Yankees in the playoffs, Jay asking me to meet up with him at another sporting event, saving for Italy in 2025/2026, planning a separate vacation for 2025, concerts in December, and other projects that I have cooking, the money spent on a four day pass would be better used in other areas, as well as the money spent giving into temptation as I pass by other dealers and see their wares. I mean last year, I swore I would just go to meet up and say hi to people and next thing I know I am spending $600 here, $1000 here... you know how it is. They are holding a four day pass for me for another week, then I have to either purchase it or I lose it. I really have other things to do. However, if you really do not believe that I would say things to you to your face that I have said here on these forums, let me know and I guess I will go in, say hello if I see you, say what I have to, and go home with some very light shopping. Gotta stay focused on other things. Let me know if you can be a pal and save me some money that I can put into the Yankee post season. Thanks. |
