I have been critical of mike sure-thats no secret-but getting extreme bans and time outs-that doesnt come out of the blue-that is earned. I never got those. Because you're like a snake. You have no spine, compromise on your principles and bow to public pressure. We both agreed that Mike is duplicitous. I have PMs of you stating it. You agreeing with Mike now makes you duplicitous as well. You should analyze your own actions and words with the same efforts that you analyze others. Logic is not your friend. Nah. You guys all co-ordinated your attacks and told me you were going to. Mike is just reacting to everyone's pressure. Taking the communist approach is like putting a bandaid on a sore. It's a temporary balm, but it's really bad in the long run. It just takes extra work and most people can't be bothered to put in the extra work. Mike has repeatedly stated that board culture dictates moderation, so as often as he likes to pretend he's not being influenced, he's quite literally also stating that board culture influences his decisions.  That's the opposite of being objective and quite literally, BIASED. Yup, secret cabal designed to take down Radovan. Add that to the left hand quadrant of your string board please. BTW. I would like to be represented with blue pushpins but green yarn. As if him being a conspiracy theorist just started right? Years ago he was "positive" that there was another secret cabal on the boards going after him behind the scenes. This is old hat. |

Never argued that the dealer didn't know what he was doing. You didn't do anything illegal in this situation, not arguing that either. The situation is just another example of your character, or lack of it, that's all. Ah, so now we're literally hanging your entire argument on the razor-thin string that I did something wrong simply by buying the books he offered. Well, that's going to be a really tough argument to support but I guess at the very least, I should thank you for obsolving me of all the other rumors.  I didn't do anything unethical or immoral, no matter how hard you try to twist it. He literally pulled me aside, offered me the books, we mutually agreed and struck an amicable deal on the batch of books. That's it. It wasn't until AFTER the fact that the stories started. It was all spurred by jealousy and envy but the only person to blame is the seller himself. If I'd held the losing end of the stick, and let say for instance if the #1's cover crease ended up getting worse when pressed, whose loss would that be? Mine. Would I have any recourse? No. That's capitalism. ---------------------------------------------- You're all saying that as a buyer, I should have helped the seller price his books better. What YOU ALL are advocating for, is communism. jsilverjanet going back to that store to "educate" the seller? He's using his PERSONAL relationship to manipulate the seller and get in on the BUSINESS deal. That's sneaky, sneaky behavior. This dealer learned a lesson and profited from that lesson. I did too. That's life and that is the only proper way forward in a free market. That is why life is great. It gets better over time if you allow it to. What argument? What rumors did I absolve you of again? No one ever argued you did anything illegal and no one ever argued that the dealer should've known what he was doing, especially with a raw group of HG books like Hulk 1-6. Obviously if you felt you did "nothing wrong" you wouldn't have kicked anything...not one red cent back to the dealer. I've bought books from dealers and sat on them, some of them have popped bigly and I made excellent money with them when sold, but I didn't kick anything back to the dealer. I also know it wasn't as simple as the dealer offering you books and you accepting, unless the dealer is lying as well and you're the only one telling the truth. I'm thinking if lets say Borock had been involved, it wouldn't have gone the way it did with you. |

It's Roy vs the World
It's the dealers across the nation who sigh in helpless disdain as they see him walking toward them in a voice loud enough that customers can hear.
It's Bob Storms who has badmouthed him.
It's Brock because despite not really being involved with comics anymore, it must be Brock.
It's Kav who has backstabbed him and has chosen the wrong "master" (that comment was hysterical)
It's JSilverJanet, Quantum (no idea who you are), Prince Namor, Buzzetta, Namisgr, TFitz, Jaybuck (sup buddy?), and countless others supposedly conspiring to bring Radovan down.
It's the CGC Moderation who is against him.
I have more but why play all my cards?
BTW, all of these guys have been sitting in my house for the last few weeks so we could all coordinate efforts. It's been tough housing and feeding everyone but the payoff was worth it. Not all of us mentioned here have always gotten along with one another but we all came together to get you a six month ban.
Now, you turn yourself around and touch grass or something in Ontario or wherever you are, pet yourself a cow, eat a Maple Leaf cookie and settle down. Take that time to reflect and see if the world is truly against you as you say they are.
Or maybe you are as insufferable as perceived.

Many actually argued the dealer didn't know what he was doing, which is ridiculous as he's a lifelong collector and has been setting up at shows FOR DECADES. There have been MANY rumors, so I'm not sure which you're perpetrating but some of the rumors made me accountable for the dealer CHOOSING to sell the books to me, which is ridiculous. I go out of my way to do things that aren't required all the time. I kicked back something because I chose to do it. He was owed nothing. If you are hearing a different story, then SOMEONE is absolutely lying and I will try to dig up the old CGC post that I posted 8 years ago in Comics General to prove it, because if he'd had a problem with it then, THAT would have been the perfect time for them to 'out' me. No. Borock is a free market capitalist and a grown man. Now if Borock was a CGC grader and the dealer asked his grading opinion, that would have been different. In fact, if this dealer had asked me to grade or price the books for them, it would be a different story. But he didn't. He literally pulled me aside, asked me if he could "show me something" and then proceeded to offer them to me. Sucks to make mistakes but it's how we learn. I learned the same way, on a much bigger mistake, only I didn't complain about it. I took my lumps and moved on. |
