Ditch has been absent for a week now. I don't know if this is true but I heard (via PM) that he's taking time out to start his own grading company. Thoughts?

I heard Ditch figured out a way to detect pressing 100% of the time

That would be awesome. Maybe someone besides CGC can finally have a census.

Hopefully they'll keep records of double covers.

I've been probing my source on this. Apparently, Ditch had been in secret talks with PGX about taking them over. His main concern was it would be impossible to put a census together with so many books out there. As a result he's setting up his own company which would start afresh with a census in place.

That would be a wise choice to start over. It would have been a bad decision to acquire such a damaged brand.

He should hire me as lead grader so I can spin a comic on a table and make a video of it. That would rock!

I heard Ditch figured out a way to detect pressing 100% of the time Even if there was a way to detect pressing 100% of the time, it's far too lucrative to continue to ignore pressing. CGC won't change with so much money on the line. No grading company that disclosed pressing would last very long.

Yup, thats why Borock lied to us, to ensure he could force the hobby to accept pressing. But Ditch's company is more of a vanity project. It's for the discerning collector who is above petty flipping. The collector who uses Ditch's services wants to know everything about their books, especially if they've been pressed

Apparently they're still working on a few things still before they make any formal announcements. I can't wait for the next update.
