Hey people, here's a little thread about our adventure today. My oldest son Ryan didn't want to go, but my 7 year old Evan was psyched to go. I'll add pictures as I go along. Terrificon moved to a different expo center within Mohegan Sun and it is much better. This expo center was built for Mecum Auto auctions so basically it one huge empty room, I bet it looks like an airplane hangar when empty. They also have 2 adjoining smaller rooms, and the Kids Con was in one of those (10,000 sq feet). Great setup all around, plenty of aisle room, no bumping anything, etc. First thing you see when you walk onto the main floor. It's big!

Cute outfit Stu, lucky for your son he is too young to be embarrassed. Show him this picture in a few more years.

After Thanos we welked the floor so he could see what it was all about. After a while I steered him toward Artist Alley which was pretty big. Within that was a kid's Artist Alley, and he loved that. He bought a few Indy type comics from different tables and we found Jacob Chabot who draws Spongebob. He was great with Evan and he had no line so we all chatted. We bought a book for $4 and he drew him a sketch. Super sweet!

So we spent some time in the Ah Yeah Comics Fun Zone. They had a robotics area where you could make a Doodle Bot (a small engine run by a AAA with two markers on it that spins all around) and you could control a 4 foot robot and have it pick up blocks and stack them on a cart. We finished that up just in time for a scheduled event, Superhero University, where kids make their own costume and become official superheroes. They had to think up a name and Evan chose "The Quakester". Then the kids got to make their own logo/symbol for the front of their shirt. They had to draw and color it and cut it out. You can see the "quake lines" as he colors the "brown earth cracking". I came up with the idea to put a "tail" on the oval before cutting and make it look like a Q The boy next to Evan was real nice too, they talked and compared ideas. They also gave out masks that you could decorate, he colored it black a bit after trying it on. Then they gave them a long cape (the red material at his feet) and we taped the cape and logo on and then the costume was done. Then all the kids went to the stage for their graduation from Superhero University. The girl on Evan's right had a great idea, she cut a head hole in the middle of her cape. The event was full, there were lots a crazy kids!

They also had a mini Gamer Con in another room so Evan played some retro games, Nintendo Switch, and of course Fortnite.

And one of the last things we did was the Virtual Reality demonstration. There was a monitor that the crowd could watch as the person played a lightsaber game.

And on the way home we stopped at Five Below to replace his broken headphones When we got home he wanted to make sure he had his entire costume on when he came through the door to see Mommy. He lasted way longer than I thought he would and never complained once
