I know what that little chap was thinking... "I'm gonna buy a nice mint condition copy, stick it in a bag and store it away somewhere safe." Nah, he's thinking "these comics suck, I can't wait for ECs to come out next year."

I looked up that Mopsy and I think it's a beautiful example of line art from that period. If I found one in the wild at a price I could afford, I'd buy it.

Be tough to choose if I only had a dime. Magic Comics, Buzzy, or Captain Marvel look right up my alley, but I've never read Fat & Slat and a while back I read a collection of Midget Movies and Thimble Theater comics by Ed Wheelan so I'll have to go with that one. Wheelan had some strips included in DC titles in the 40's.

If I could only buy one, probably Captain Marvel. Although I'd be tempted by the FCC Flash Gordon... Dale Arden does look snazzy in that outfit.

"Burt... If you're gonna bend the comics like that, they won't be near mint!"

This is a great photo. Found the newspaper article on this. From the LA Times in 1965, also in RBCC 40.
