No, the book is not regraded, only re-encapsulated. And as I mentioned, the grade date is not changed after re-encapsulation. I seem to recall isolated cases of regrading at reslabbing. Didn't we discuss a regrading following damage due to a creep engine case? Or am I just imagining it? If the case is damaged, or there is evidence of Shaken Comic Syndrome (SCS), CGC will regrade the book (with no guarantee of maintaining the same grade, of course). Regarding the Creep Engine case, ALL of those books SHOULD have been regraded since most of them had damage; many even requiring pressing. Unfortunately, none of them were since it would have been an admission of guilt which would include a monetary liability that CGC could not afford. So they just flat out lied about it. Here is CGC's official position: link (Harshen)link (Brittany M.)You'll notice that CGC does not use the term "wave damage" as I do, they use the term "a slight wavy appearance." In reality, these books did NOT have a slight wavy appearance within the case, they were turned into accordions BY the case. In addition, it wasn't "A small number of holders..."; it was almost every single one of them since it was a design flaw.

I wonder how many people who say they're "done" keep submitting.

I wonder how many people who say they're "done" keep submitting. Probably about as many as those who say they're done with posting on message boards but still keep posting.

Just bend the case and shake it a little until they disappear. Or sell them to the person that doesn't mind them (cheaper of course or no deal).
After all, it is only some plastic stuff touching some other plastic stuff and creating pretty LSD artistic colors. Like old Beatles albums.

The LSD thing for Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds...? That's what they tell you nowadays but we all now they were just a bunch of drugged out hippies.

My drinking buddy Professor Timmy started that stuff about Lucy. He was high. But, in his defense, he was always high. There was a reason we said be leary of Leary.
