Yep. Doesn't look like the winning bidder was paying attention to who they were bidding against

Maybe....just MAYBE...Doofus510 and Watson can appreciate where I'm coming from jussssst a little better, when they encounter dolts like this, being, as Watson put it, "purposefully obtuse" (although the word is "purposely."
I don't hold out hope...but jusssssst maybe.

Well, no one is tl;dr-ing your post. That's a sign of hope. They're ignoring it of course, which says it all, really That was a good thread.

This comment by Watson was dumb: What Watson doesn't understand is "if you don't know, don't flap your gums as if you do." It's one thing to not know. It's another to speak as if you do. NOT saying SB was doing this here, but he's done it in the past.

Just got this from one of the biggest SS guys in the business:
Wanted to buy a book off eBay.
My response:
"XXXXX....you handle hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of other people's merchandise a year, do you not? Trust is foundational to this business, but you don't see a problem with stealing from eBay? Stealing IS that serious. How can anyone be trusted who thinks stealing isn't a big deal?
No off eBay deals. If it's listed on eBay, I sell it through eBay. They bring me the customers, they get their money, as high as it may be.
And don't get pissed at me because I told you the truth. I want to be trustworthy, too."
This is one of the BIG BIG SS guys. Exclusive "contracts", the works.
BIG SS guy.
Doesn't think that stealing from eBay is "that serious."
People send this guy hundreds, if not thousands, of their valuable books a year to get signed.
The disconnect is staggering sometimes.

Hey Doofus510...because CBCS is currently being run by the same mentality that runs the CGC board, and people have to dance around and play the game. "Coming right out and saying it" is viewed as "aggressive posting" (truth be damned to hell), and summarily dealt with by deletion and/or suspension.
But you know that, because you play the exact same game.
Why don't YOU stop beating around the bush and come HERE and deal with things directly, instead of your passive/aggressive commentary on other boards, where you are shielded?
Hypocrite.

Couple of things...
1. You can't respect someone for "being direct", if you won't be direct yourself. It comes off as disingenuous. Since you refuse to be direct, this post lacks meaning.
2. That's not the way slym "feels." "Feelings" are fleeting, and should never be relied on for any reason. How you "feel" can change by any of a hundred different factors. It's what slym THINKS, the conclusion he has come to, using reason and logic, not his "feelings."

They are the evilest of the evil after all.
