A CGC forum on eBay Love his logic; It would cost money to fix, therefore it is more valuable

She should've told him she doesn't speak and to send her an email with proper grammar, punctuation and capitalization. That guy should be embarrassed to send a business email like that.

That's pretty petty for him to post the email response. It makes him look like a damn . Anyone buying that book for an encapsulation defect is probably just as dumb.

I must be missing something...why would it be a problem to post e-mails with a customer service rep?

I must be missing something...why would it be a problem to post e-mails with a customer service rep? Maybe it's just me that think it's a dick move to post the rep's name. I work in retail and have seen team member's get ripped on social media for following company policy. I've had to interview several team members, for something someone mentioned on a blog, and had to get back to corp and our employee relations department with my finding. This obviously placed some stress onto the team member since they were investigated for doing something that they are expected to do, but because their DM was there to talk to them about the incident, they thought they're "in trouble". While the seller didn't talk bad about the rep, just about CGC's policy on return shipment, I feel he should have left her info out.

Wow. Wooooooowww. Time to pack up, track someone down, beat their ass, take the money back, then take that fake, turn that sumbitch sideways, and stick it straight up their candy ass. The problem with this is that the buyer could be trying to pull a scam. It may not be the seller. Could be the seller, or the buyer, trying to scam. People can do very questionable when $4500 is involved. It wouldn't be too hard to print out a color xerox of the cover of an ASM front cover and a fake CGC label, after all. I may be wrong, the pics in the original listing are not visible so it's questionable. Without a third party broker, or at least a video recording of packaging & shipment...including intil the box was handed in at the USPS and scanned by the clerk......I would not assume either one of them was being truthful.

I saw that one too. The seller is insane if they are serious about that price.

I found this both funny and frustrating due to this description and the pictures. The scans for the books I looked at are fuzzy and they also show images of other books besides the one offered. He(?) also listed this DC book as being published by Charlton. "I specialize in unread, unopened high grade copies & lifetime collections. This auction is for DC SUPERSTARS #13 CGC 9.4(first scan only, OW-W, Sergio Aragones.) There are no high grade issues of this sold on Ebay so it's rare. This is the most expensive of the issues after #7. #11 & #17 both sold for $180 w/ shipping in CGC 9.4 & this one is more in the guide. BIN is $87 here. Mine is the only copy on ebay. I am selling thousands of gold, silver & bronze comics along w/ thousands of unread comics back to the 70's. Extra scans are new items being listed in other auctions. Media mail is cheap & comes w/ $50 ins. If you want priority mail, that's no problem as long as you pay for it. I can combine shipping. Anyone who buys an auction should take a look at the singles I offer before paying. Comments on the CGC bks: My pricing is based on the sold CGC bks by taking the lowest priced copies & dropping my price some if possible. I know I usually sell bks much cheaper than most everyone else. But the reality is dealing w/ CGC is insanely expensive. They lost a giant batch of my bks which cost me $10,000-$20,000 in losses. They double charged my credit card. They no longer give discounts on huge batches of bks. They don't keep their promises or word on the big bks I have sent in. All of my sent in bks have pre-grade expectations & that costs me an extra $5 a bk this last time including all of the bks that don't make 9.6 grades. Getting the nicest copies in the world is expensive." *sigh*

Anyone know what's going on with this book? The asking price is insanely high for this book. The last sale was $1,000 for a 7.0.
