I've only ever seen wrestling at the PHS gym, never at a big arena.
I did remember one other little story. I remember we brought big straws and dried peas (aka pea shooters) to a match and we drove Don "The Rock" Muraco crazy. We only hit him in the backside because 1) we didn't want him to see us and 2) we felt his eyes/face were off limits. Good times!

Every now and then you see a who thinks it's all part of the fun and enters the ring, and you see the Wrestlers take the opportunity to justifiably bash a head in. I remember seeing The Giant (currently The Big Show- Lame name) holding Roddy Piper up in the air in a "choke" for a lot longer than planned waiting for Hogan who was supposed to join the attack, but was preoccupied with kicking a fan's head who was trying to crawl in the ring.

I thought The Rock was Dwayne Johnson...? He stole the name from Don way after the fact. In fact, early on Don the Rock had a feud with Rocky Johnson, who is Dwayne's dad!

Names are taken a lot in Wrestling. The original Nature Boy was Buddy Rogers. The Masked Superstar and Superstar Billy Graham. Hulk Hogan and Crusher Hogan When Dwayne Johnson first hit the scene, he took his dad's name and his grandfather surname; Rocky Maivia. The fans hated him, so he became the Rock (originally a heel). I still think he would make a great Lobo. His comedic and dramatic timing is perfect. I'd rather watch his WWE backstage interviews over his matches any day.

I don't have any good wrestling stories, but I did go to two matches back in the day. Don't recall too much about the first one, but got to see Pedro Morales and the Fabulous Moolah in a pretty small venue. The second was '88 and Hulk Hogan vs. One Man Gang was the featured match. Had seats in the 4th row which was awesome. I loved One Man Gang!He was Big Boss Man after, right?I just watched something on Moolah a few days ago on Crave(freeee preview ) that's super cool you got to see her!

One Man Gang became The African Dream Akeem, managed by Slick.
