@siggy You are still wrong. Read my post again. There was some slight reversion on 1 of Carl's books so I did NOT submit the books in person when I took them out of my wall book box (where they were stored as behind my booth was the safest location) at NY WinterCon , 2+ years back. I was set up at NY WinterCon for the duration of that 2 day show as a vendor. CGC was set up there accepting subs. I put Carl's books back in my wall book box and worked on them one last time (as the post indicates) after I got back home from the show, than I shipped the books to Carl.
These particular books were not pressed onsite.
FYI, CGC and Joeypost have both offered onsite pressing at shows; condition of book dependent. No one has ever offered same day pressing; that would lead to reversion (if not outright damage) to quite a few books. You'd have to skip the humidification and post press setting processes to offer same day pressing.
Pressing books without properly humidifying them first is an invitation to worsening existing spine ticks (non-color breaking becomes color breaking) as the paper is not relaxed before heat/pressure is applied. I can add more but frankly, I am tired of dealing with your " you" and "you're too dumb to..." sort of comments. Next time you want to insult me, how about you talk to the guy who I did the work for, first?

How am I still wrong? I said I recall the reversion happening at a show, and that I thought it was a customer's. Nothing I said had anything to do CGC or CFP, or that onsite pressing doesn't exist. Anything I said about you doing onsite pressing was an inquiry into the process.

@siggy You are still wrong. Read my post again. There was some slight reversion on 1 of Carl's books I believe you said both books reverted.
Yep. You did.so I did NOT submit the books in person when I took them out of my wall book box (where they were stored as behind my booth was the safest location) at NY WinterCon , 2+ years back. NEVER said you did.I was set up at NY WinterCon for the duration of that 2 day show as a vendor. I don't care. That has nothing to do with my post.CGC was set up there accepting subs. I don't care. That has nothing to do with my post. I put Carl's books back in my wall book box and worked on them one last time (as the post indicates) after I got back home from the show, than I shipped the books to Carl. These particular books were not pressed onsite. They reverted, right? That's what I said I recollected.FYI, CGC and Joeypost have both offered onsite pressing at shows; condition of book dependent. None of this has anything to do with my recollection of your reversion post.I can add more but frankly, I am tired of dealing with your " you" and "you're too dumb to..." sort of comments. You don't want me telling you to off? Don't come here guns a'blazin' calling me a bull liar when your denial of a customer's books reverting is a lie. YOU SAID IT HAPPENED.Next time you want to insult me, how about you talk to the guy who I did the work for, first? Why? Will he say the books never reverted before you finally gave them back? Why would he lie? It happened. I know because you SAID it happened. Then you called me a bull liar because I said you said it happened.

I've said this before on the CGC forums, but CAK, REMEMBER the above post, for all time you spend on this forum, because, again as I've said before, we aren't going to swallow your bull , ever.
You don't want to interact with ANYBODY on this forum, understand that first, then your stay will be that much better.

I just got around to check the link to Poka's post, and I have no idea what the hell that has to do with me saying you had two books revert, needing additional work.
I never said the work wasn't done, and I never said the issue wasn't resolved after you held onto his rare books for a month before finally returning them.
NONE of that matters. You said I lied about you having a couple books that reverted. I did not.
But you did lie when you said that never happened.

CAK - When you said Carl's books weren't submitted at Eternal Con, did you mean Winter Con?

@siggy
Again, you are mincing words. You are simply wrong.
You stated that the book had reverted which had required a return.
Again, it would be decent of you to actually make sure that the information that you post if factually accurate.
You state that the book was "IIRC a customer's", and that it had a 'defect' requiring a return."
The book was NOT given to the customer intil the defect was corrected.
There was no return.
This is what you wrote:
"I bet the billing process went off without a hitch.
As for the owner's press job- Sure, it looked better. Let it sit for a month or so and record it again. I read somewhere that CAK had a book (a customer's, iirc) that had a defect 'return', requiring another press.
I hope that wasn't one of those $200 convention presses.
I have to wonder if any of those (and any comic with similar treatment by anyone) are graded 9.8 or 9.6 through fast track , only to revert back to whatever."
Far as my saying that I respected you, your response is as one minded as I assumed it would have been, I should not have even bothered attempted treating you with any semblance of dignity. You are too lazy and hasty to offer that courtesy to myself.
However, even responding to your incorrect accusations and insults does further to add up to more of the same.
This is an exercise in futility, this is the last time.
This is the second time, regarding the very same books, that you went off faulty information. (see the batman 457 2nd print newsstand thread which Poka and Shrewbeer called you out on), I posted a link to that thread on here yesterday.I am not even going to bring up the myriad of profanity laced insults and
This is a huge waste of my time, I'd have to think it is a wste of your time, as well.
If you, or anyone else on here, has anything to say to me that merits civil discussion , feel free to PM me and I will respond in turn.
I will not respond to insults. Anything that someone would not say to my face, in person e.g. MetalPSI, Fiddy and Jimmers' keyboard warrior foolishness.

Oh and CAK how I love you stating that I wouldn't say the I've been saying to your face.
I'd absolutely LOVE the opportunity to say what a troll you are to your face. It would make my day.

CAK - When you said Carl's books weren't submitted at Eternal Con, did you mean Winter Con? Hey CAK, I'm trying to be civil here. Did you mean to say Carl's books were supposed to have been submitted at Winter Con instead of Eternal Con? Or should it have been VA Comic Con?

You said I lied about you having a couple books that reverted. I did not. But you did lie when you said that never happened. Poka said that you should have contacted Carl for his input before attacking my character, and my work. You also said that I shipped carl's boks via media mail, which was incorrect. You chose not to go to the source (the customer). And you chose to do the very same thing again e.g. you chose not to ask Carl if the books required a return due to reversion. The books were not returned to me for reversion. I triple checked the books before subbing them at NY WinterCon and I saw some slight reversion occured, so I did not sub Carl's books with any degree of reversion. I pressed them again, and than shipped them to Carl, on my dime. When Carl received the books, he told me he was very happy with my work and my method of shipment, and he later told me he was quite happy with the grades assigned by CGC. Carl offered to send me ,more money, after he got the 2 books back from CGC, which I declined.Something like $20 or $40, I can't remember.

It is ridiculous to hear the word "troll" coming from you. I will be at Baltimore Comic Con. PM me if you'd like to meet me there. I will also be at NY Winter Con.
