I should clarify kav

The comics I mentioned aren't on Marvel Unlimited and I'm just getting my sea legs with venturing out in other parts of the Internet

In a few days, thanks to your nudge, I may very well get what I want (and more)

I'll return to this thread to report on my success or lack thereof

At the moment I have encountered technical glitches that must be overcome and I really just started and haven't explored much yet

Dark Horse Comics published Conan from 2003 to 2018, when the rights were reacquired by Marvel Comics. Marvel published Conan comics until 2022, when Titan Comics took over the license (through Heroic Signatures) to begin publishing its own series.

I have a sneaking feeling that the Robert E. Howard estate never released the rights to Conan and the same is true for Edgar Rice Burroughs and his Tarzan, John Carter. It's only a guess but it's a good guess.

You can get Conan graphic novels that collect issue runs for about $40 or at worst $125. It's somewhat pricey but not altogether out of reach.

Millie the Model is another story. She was never really a part of the Marvel Universe (obviously) and the only exposure I've ever had to her was scattered wise cracks by Stan Lee in the Bullpen Bulletins page. In fact, I've never held Millie the Model in my hands as ink on paper in my life.

Alas, these stories may very well be limited to rich people.

Marvel Unlimited does have a half a dozen issues of Millie the Model and take my word for it they're funny as hell. It's really a humor comic though at times it concentrated on high-society fashion of the 60s.

You don't see me complaining. We in this internet age have access to so much, more than I ever dared imagine, that I'm not going to be greedy.

But, I put out a call for anyone out there who knows where these might be accessible.
marvel must have got the right tho right?

Got the Bat Signal from the Junk Shop last weekend!

He found a guy with an attic full of long boxes, letting go slowly.  Looks like a turn of the century type collection. This batch was about 7 longs by the time I got there. Nice stuff in that it was ordered and bagged and boarded. Run collectors salivate for these kind of finds. I ended up buying about half a long's worth of junque - no newsies unfortunately, but I did get about 50-60 Verotik issues for a buck apiece. These will be easy flips on eBay, and I'm a longtime Glenn Danzig fan from back in the 90s (his music not his comic line). Plus assorted other stuff, heavy on the indies. Some horror, some Mignola, etc.

I missed Mike Carbo's pop up sale at his house in Forest Hills last weekend. It'll be another week before any picking for me.

ps that image I posted above will disappear in a couple days-all images pulled from Facebook disappear any idea why?

It's because most websites will eventually shuffle things around and then the links can get lost and your image disappears.

If you want your posted images to be permanent (or close to it), use Imgur.com. And despite what some people say, you don't need to register to use them. I've been using them for years and have never registered with them.
