Hit up a garage sale on Saturday, but after 12:00 which usually means all the good stuff should be gone. Nevertheless, out of his eight or so long boxes full of fifty cent books, I amassed about 80 comics from 80s to 90s to teens!

I got a dozen DCs newsstands from 2013! People seem to like them - where's Stu? Still on Stu-battical?

I haven't seen comics at a yard sale/garage sale in ages. There's an Estate sale next weekend and the ad shows furniture, books, knick-knacks, etc., so I may check that out just in case.

I've already begun absorbing it into the collective, sorry. The blob can't spit out a teenager it ate yesterday, ya know!

I live on Long Island, NY. Tag/yard/garage/estate sales, etc., etc. are a cottage industry here. Week in and week out there are dozens of sales all over the place. Only a few of which advertise comics as part of the sale. So it's a pretty fertile area for sales and I've been able to take advantage and get some really good deals over the years.

I haven't been to a yard sale, or swap mee, in decades. I remember it being a lot of fun looking for comic books and toys, but I'm sure things are much different now.

When I was living in PA as a kid there were yard sales, flea markets, auctions, etc. happening all the time. I think those things are more prevalent in long established communities where folks spend their entire lives living in the same city or county. Stuff accumulates more than getting tossed out during multiple moves.

The one and only AF15 I owned (yes, past tense -- SOB) came to me through a tag sale. I bought it from the cousin of the family that was holding the sale after asking if there were any comics to be had.
Took a little while and some back and forth, and a trip to Hoboken NJ, but I got it! Only had it for 3-4 years however and missed the GIGANTIC price run up. Oh well, probably the only copy I'll ever have.

Then there was that time the serial killer lured me and my son to his basement with the restored copy of Batman 1.
Fortunately, he was just looking to share his comic-collecting passion with us, and not his blood-lust!
Either way, a good day!

2134 I think that's when Halley's Comet is scheduled to come back around.

Slim pickings this weekend, went to one sale that had some comics. Just one short box to look through. Bought a first print of Rachel Rising 1 for a buck and that was the highlight.
