How It's Played
Step 1
If you haven't done so already, create a forum account. Although anyone can watch, only forum members can play this game.
Step 2
Create a Contestant Thread for yourself in the Contestant Threads Sub-board. Enter your forum name as the Subject (this is important), and enter "I'm playing." (or a period, or whatever you want) into the first post. This is your personal, private thread where you will be submitting all your contest entries. Only you and I can see this thread.
Step 3
Once a day, I will post a numbered contest round in the game thread. This will consist of a cropped scan of a graded comic book. The grading company will be specified.
To the best of your ability, guess the grade you think the grading company gave to the book.
Post your guess (contest entry) into your personal Contestant Thread. Please use a new post for each contest round. Please use the following format:
Round # - Grade Guess

Step 4
The following day I will post all the contest entries along with the actual grading company grade. All the contest entries will be anonymous.
I will then post a new contest round, and the process will repeat every day.
Note
In the beginning, this game will be just for fun and education. If it looks like no one is interested in playing, I'll kill it (I try a lot of different games around here - some successful, some not
). But if at some point we get 10 or more players, I will make this a real contest. We can figure out the details together (number of rounds, points for correct guesses, etc.), but I'm thinking that except for the winner, the game would continue to be anonymous.

With the advent of the VCCU, this is now a cash bonus game.
For each contest round, the closest contestant(s) will be declared the winner of the round and receive an immediate $20 cash bonus.
If there are multiple winners (all having the same grade guess), the prize will be split evenly between the contestants.
