If I hear Dream On by Aerosmith one more time, I'm going to run amok.

Sometimes I climb into a basket & tickle my ears.
Other times, I do not.

Adblock has become halfway useless now. It still prevents popup ads & whatnot, but I spend a good deal of time on YouTube when I am online, and hate having to watch a 15 second commercial before EVERY video. But it seems now that if you have Adblock installed & go to watch a YT video, you can't see the video, just hear the audio. You have to disable AB, which means I am back to watching commercials before every video.
Yeah, yeah, I know... 1st World Problems.

The problem with ad blocking software is that a lot of sites these days are requiring you to disable the blocking, or white list the site in order to see content.

Set your browser to never remember history and delete everything each time it shuts down. Then set your plugins. I've never had this problem, only certain YT videos have ads. I've got my plugs set to tell me when they are switching. For example, when I see something a member has posted as a video, a pop up lets me know the video plugin is switching to VLC. If I go to YT directly and watch a video, I get just audio because the plug in didn't switch back to the default (I have no idea what firefox uses for it's default, however, if I watch a video that's been embedded or linked here, I can see it just fine. It's weird how cookies work these days. They are NOT doing what they originally intended them to do. They are loaded with trackers now, and that's why so many sites are switching to white lists. They want your browser history to sell you . It's bad enough I cannot figure out how to stop them looking at my location on every site I go to now. Sure, I could use TOR or something similar, but they are all on to that and its slow as .

I just want to say - I hate ads. I record TV shows on the DVR just so's I can FF through the commercials. I don't even like watching On Demand because often enough, you can't FF during those broadcasts. So yeah, seeing a 30-second ad for car insurance (I don't own a car) is useless to me. I try to reload, and get another 30-second commercial. At least Doritos kept the length down to 6 seconds, but now...
Bastards.

I'm with you. I cannot stand advertising. The only reason the good old pop up ads have been slowing down over the years is that it was actually proven to prevent people going online altogether. Now you have this click bait/fake news ads. People are just plain stupid, which is why these things work. The only reason spam exists is because people either don't care what they click or are actually taken in by it. If spam didn't work, they'd do something else. You have to really give that the thought it deserves because it tells you a lot of what people are doing with themselves online. We have an entire generation of people who started out online with no concept of common sense, completely unsupervised and oblivious. You can, if you've been online since the start, see where the internet has geared itself towards these receptive . I saw a news broadcast or something, where a person would walk up to someone and ask to see their phone. They told the people they are doing a study on cell phone addiction, and people STILL had a lot of hesitation just handing their phone to a stranger for a moment or two. There is a fear connection. Probably instilled when they were children and being told how expensive a phone was, and they better take care of it, or else. This is being carried over into their adult life. Then you have the clique factor where you MUST have the most recent phone, or be made fun of by your peers. Fear drives EVERYTHING. Ads are designed more and more to instill calm and "safe" emotions. Look at the damned Lincoln commercials that McConahy does. Driving in a silent, serene environment, with a pleasant resonating narrative. Any actor who sells themselves out to do commercials has no right calling themselves an artist, and should by rights, forfeit any awards they've received for acting. Anyone who does commercials for a living shouldn't be called an actor.

Random Thought : Why does this ladies vagina need sunglasses? I'm not so sure they're sunglasses. See how they appear just below the split hem in her outfit? I think that's a "Trinity Vibes" vaginal bead string.
