It took me close to five minutes. The result was well worth the time, by the way.

it's a lovely time to go to the fair to day. (Batgirl's first post).Mmmmm, Fair food It was so small, it didn't have a refreshment stand! It was - and I use the term correctly - literally 10 rides, four games stalls and a small arcade... all set up in a car park. It's the first time I've ever been to a fair with no candy floss, donuts or over priced cola.

I've never seen doughnuts at a fair or carnival, but we do have something called "funnel" cake. Fried and sugared dough. Cola is overpriced everywhere. Are corn dogs or soft pretzels a thing?

I'd hazard a guess our fair doughnuts are made from the same stuff as funnel cake. We have pretzels but not corn dogs. Don't remember seeing pretzels at a fair though...

The way the labor laws worked then, if you were a minor you could be paid less than minimum wage, so you can imagine the number of goofball 14 and 15 year olds schlepping around in there and the resultant quality of service.

I'm sure the roller coaster and candy floss were safe in your hands... I was "promoted" pretty quickly to the paddle boat rides and trusted to handle cash. There were no unfortunate water related incidents during my time at the helm.
