I wonder if Subway could limit that guy from dining in with a “no firearms in seated areas” sign, or if folks would lose their heads over “rights”? Not sure how open carry laws work in those situations. Open carry allows you to openly carry in public. I can still deny you entrance into my home if you insist on bringing your firearm.

My question was more if a business can deny service in the same way they might if a person was barefoot or carrying open containers of food, and so forth. Anyone who has sandwiches from Subway is always welcome in my home.

If they come back you get them trespassed and then after that the arresting can start.

It was a year this week some arse clown busted in my door with a gun. I hear he's dead now through the grapevine.I shed no tears let me say. The whole gun thing is so alien to me.Around here guns are for bad things mostly.

That's mostly true so long as the rule in regards to denial of services is uniformly enforced and not created in an effort to circumvent anti-discrimination laws.

Where I grew up guns were commonplace, and sport shooting and hunting involved kids at a very young age. I know our schools had hunting & firearm safety classes beginning in 6th grade, but I knew younger classmates that got deer or turkey tags even before that. I guess for those kids as long as there was a licensed adult “supervising” it was legal. I was never part of any of that and at times felt I was missing out on some sort of adventure, but by High School I really didn’t care any more. I did on occasion go “deer spotting” although as some adults probably knew, that was just a cover for whatever reckless shenanigans a bunch of underage kids could engage in driving about in the woods on a Friday night. I think I’d be uncomfortable being around people in an open carry area. It’s like we’re expecting a group of drifters to come through town and steal our horses or something.

I hope they at least don't do it in the schools anymore, sounds like a recipe for a school shooting.
