Yeah, that doesn't work. A character connection must be identified through both name and identity. For example, I had a dog named Cindy. I also had a cousin named Cindy. There's no connection between them because they have separate identities. If my cousin Cindy met Stan Lee, you couldn't say my dog met Stan Lee (she was probably barking at the dog next door at the time). I'm actually working on cleaning up the rules right now, and I'll add this distinction. Good timing. Apparently that's my role in this thread No way. The last few weeks was the first time this game has ever been applied to comic books, so it's a learning process for everyone. That's also the reason why there was no monthly winner for November - it was just too many rule additions and changes to be relevant. All the questions and issues have highlighted weakness in the rules and the game play. So, hopefully, we have something more solid (and fun) now. Also, the rules right now are a mess, so I'm re-writing them to be more understandable.

Good job.
I'm really loving this game. I've probably learned more about comics playing this game for a few weeks than I have in the last year or two.
I'm either working down from a comic book, or up from Stan Lee; and invariably I'll find myself going down some tangential path because it's something I didn't know before, or it's interesting.
It's really clear that the social circle was in play. If you were liked and were talented, you didn't have to look far for work in those days (40s through 70s as an example) - you probably had more than you could handle.
