British/European freshwater fish often mistaken with the Rudd. Not Paul... Had to Google Rudd, never heard of that either. I don't eat seafood, and I don't think I've ever had fish and chips in my life. Fish and chips If you ever do eat them, don't forget the salt and vinegar!

Salt Esq. restaurants and some of the pubs have it, but none are all that great. Pretty expensive too for what you get. Malt vinegar is a must.

Most restaurants use a cheap fish because they can get away with it being fried and all. The more discerning diner never orders "fish & chips" that I'm aware of. Maybe New England?

Really?Has ink changed?Still do it at home here.. No. It's the quality of the writing that's declined to such an extent that no progressive business wants to spread the current nonsense that passes for "news" along to it's customers. Otherwise my understanding is that most inks used today in newsprint are soy based and not toxic to ingest, but Iikely some communities ruled newsprint as harmful as a food wrap in the 80's or 90's and disallowed the practice. It's funny that if now I was in the position of delivering a baby on the floor of some shopping mall I should be calling out for boiled water and "kraft paper" or something similar. Times change.

I blame my parents, who are both from New York

I blame my parents, who are both from New York I LOVE seafood, and I grew up almost completely without it. When I first tried sushi, it was amazing. I am totally hooked on unagi now. Then there is lobster Not to mention I also grew up on the prairies, getting fresh seafood is impossible. Can't wait to move to a coast, I always gorge myself when we vacation in Vancouver. Other half, she hates seafood, so I don't get it all that often. I should be eating more canned salmon though, good protein
