Made my first eBay sale ever. Crapping my pants. So glad the seller is in Canada. I can't forsee any major screw ups. Cool. Shipping is always a headache, especially if it's a higher dollar item.

So many retractions. OT I'm seeing several kav quotes, but not seeing the posts being quoted. Is he deleting again?

I haven't been paying attention. Why is he deleting his posts? There doesn't seem to be anything especially delete-able about the posts being quoted. I see he is posting in another thread on the same topic. I really don't feel like looking , but maybe somebody casually or not so casually made the same observation. It's just what he does. Scorpion and the Frog, I guess.

Got myself a nice shiny Pitt #3 limited holographic ashcan from the states today. Mailed to me by a considerate seller, in a bubble mailer. It wasn't folded in half and I consider it one of the luckiest ships I've received. The book was in ok shape, I'd call it a 9.0 with unfortunate ink rubs on the black back and a non breaking crease near the bottom staple (That these type of ashcans are notorious for) The sigs and numbering is beautifully done. Totally worth the $10 I paid for it. However, the $20 shipping could have done better than a MAILER.

Got a $500 offer for my Strange Tales #180 9.8 SS. Listed for $882. Countered at $850. Last three sales of 9.8s unsigned were $700 ea. Already turned down a $700 offer for this book. Got a $520 counter offer with this note: "9.6 are going about 200. 520 is a premium for a 9.8." 1. 9.8s, especially of harder mid-Bronze books, aren't related to 9.6 prices. That's just reality. 2. This is a signed book. 3. 4. I just sold a 9.6 SS for $450. People.

Watch out for this high roller: "Wolverinecomics2014" made a $300 offer for this book: www.ebay.com/itm/201806047021I truly, truly don't understand why people waste their time, and the seller's time, with loony tunes offers like this. Sigh.

Sigh. We'll probably see a thread on the CBCS forum now about 'unreasonable dealers' I see a surrounded cover SS in the other listings, and thought it said A Man Called Kav

Guy sends me a $100 offer for my Longshot #3 double signed 9.8 here: www.ebay.com/itm/LONGSHOT-3-CGC-9-8-SS-Signed-by-Adams-and-Portacio-1st-Mojo-1428245017-/192087672912?rd=1Listed for $189, guy offers $100. Just on principle, I reject. I'd love to get stuff 45% off asking, but I digress. Last sale of an UNSIGNED 9.8 was $128, which I tell him. I counter at $175. Guy counters at $115. Still not getting it. I counter at $170, and say I'm not interested at anything lower. Guy counters at $128...the price of the last UNSIGNED 9.8...and says this: "Someone just listed a triple signed for a buy it now price of $175. There is no demand for Mojo or Longshot that I know of and this has to be your highest offer. I won't be able to go higher. Thanks, Josh." 1. That "triple signed" was a CBCS, not a CGC. Say what you want, but CBCS sigs isn't up to the rep of CGC sigs. 2. A bit of an arrogant statement, too. "This has to be your highest offer." Um, no. In fact, I had a higher offer that I declined. 3. You won't be able to go higher, then you're not buying this book. Simple. 4. That "triple signed" had $12 S&H added, which mine didn't. I think Nocenti's sig is worth about $12, no? I don't sell signed books, which cost more, sometimes quite a bit more, for the same price as unsigned 9.8s. Won't do it. Don't care what the market says, if I want to sell for the unsigned price, I won't get it signed. This was on the 13th, sold it yesterday for $175. Silly lowballers.
