However, one of the comics is really "angled" or "crooked" in the case, so much so that the top of the right edge is near the very top of the case and concerned a bit the top right corner could get damaged if it moves "up" in the slightest.

The book hasn't moved in the holder - it is the angle of the photo.

Miniscule ripple that may have been present before slabbing.

No Newtonian rings on bc!

Take a closer look at the right side. I really believe the book has shifted.

Pre-shipment the upper right corner was touching the right edge of the holder, and the lower right corner had a space between it and the right edge of the holder.

Post-shipment this has been reversed (gap at top, none at bottom), and the other sides of the book follow suit.

That can't be a photo angle effect.

Yes, now that I look more closely you are both correct.

The top left hand corner of the book is now in line with the very edge of the label.

So the top left hand corner of the book has shifted two, maybe 3 mm to the left.

Michael, your photo gives a hint of buckling in the middle of the book at the top. Is that in fact present?

Yes, there is a hint of waviness in the middle. Is that a trait of the new holder as well?
