Sent PM for CN
TheMaxx: This is from today! Both books look like this. I really want to take them out to see how much damage has been done. Would like to take advantage of the regrade, but I don't want to risk more damage by leaving them like this. Money lost, and money wasted.
CGC Comics Hoodrow Hoodii Wilson these were probably encapsulated a few weeks ago if they just arrived to you. We can fix this and send them back to you. Contact me through email and I'll help you with everything: email@example.com

I received my most recent submission back today. They were in QC for almost 3 weeks(Economy Fast Track) before being shipped on Tuesday. Safe to say I am not pleased..
I don't care about the delay. I do care about my book looking like an accordion. The pictures cleaned it up quite a bit. I had my girl look at the book to see what someone with no knowledge about the case would say. Exact quotes - "it looks wet" and "it doesn't fit?"

So I received my first (and only) book in the new CGC case from Indy about a month or so ago. I checked it out again yesterday when I got home from work and noticed that along with the "oily" look that others were seeing (which was evident from when I first received it) the book was also exhibiting "waviness" along the top:
After digging around every forum I could find trying to figure out whether or not CGC had identified/corrected the problem, I finally decided to contact them directly. I sent an email this morning and received a reply a little over an hour later. The rep said that "the waviness has been corrected" and that the "rainbow effect has been minimized, but not completely eliminated." She said to send the book back and that she would have it fixed immediately and assured me that CGC would reimburse me for the shipping.
While I can't say for certain that all is hunky dory without seeing the actual results, I will say that the timeliness of the response and the enthusiasm the CGC rep showed in seeing to it that my problem was addressed was admirable. I'll post another update down the road once I receive the new case and have let it settle in for a bit.
Lastly, I asked if they had identified WHAT the actual issue was and WHAT they have done to correct it, since these seem to be the details that many of us cannot track down. I'll post an update if I get a response. I for one would feel much better about the whole thing if the company was a bit more transparent, but I have to give them credit for how they handled my specific issue.
