I had no idea Roy Harper sang lead on Have a Cigar. Check out Waters and Gilmore singing it, much different.

Maybe I’m just used to the original(had no idea it was Roy Harper), but hearing dual voices sounded strange to me. Funny, but I was just listening to this song 3-4 days ago. The album version, live, and Primus cover.

Waters wasn't getting it because it was a little outside of his range. Harper was in the studio so he was asked to try. He nailed it. Waters is still a little upset because he thought he would have eventually have been able to do it.

That was fairly interesting. I’ve never really listened much to Tool or knew much about Maynard, but the conversation was entertaining touching on martial arts, the pandemic, the creative process, health issues, wine making, and so on. Running about 90 minutes felt just right. I would consider the upcoming live stream, but I’m not really his target audience. $25 to watch from my couch at three in the afternoon doesn’t catch my fancy.

Slash vs Tom Morello. This one's great because as you will see it has both of their characters from Guitar Hero. Evan loved to battle both of them

All the Smith’s talk on the CGC boards has led me back to one particular song of theirs I enjoyed immensely back in the day. “How Soon Is Now”. While the original version doesn’t hold as much interest for me as it once did, I recalled hearing Quicksand’s cover and thought they pulled it off exceptionally well in that it sounds like a Quicksand song. I think it still holds up all these many years later. Quicksand’s star burned quickly and brightly for a few years, and were a fun band to see live.
