Most people who refuse to accept the possibility of a lab leak from the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) in Wuhan don't even realize how common lab leaks are.
When we first discussed Gain Of Function research, namisgr asked what it was and didn't know. Many people are completely unaware of the danger and money involved.
Last week on the CGC chat forum I posted an article about a potential lab leak / security breach at the Level 4 research lab in Chapel Hill, NC. Moderation removed the link because they didn't want people arguing.
For those that don't know, the lab in Chapel Hill works in conjunction with the WIV on coronavirus research and both labs are used by Peter Daszak, who has been running interference and throwing smoke screens on the investigation into the origins of the pandemic since last Jan / Feb 2020 when the virus broke out worldwide
This article explains how easily these breaches can happen and what meager measures were taken when one potentially did happen.
In short, a mouse infected with a coronavirus that was being researched bit through a researcher's glove and the researcher was sent home, told to wear a mask for 10 days and nothing else.
Now it's easy to see how a pandemic can be started by one small mistake.
Reports indicate UNC researchers were potentially exposed to lab-created coronaviruses in several incidents since 2015. These incidents highlight the risks even in the most secure and respected research facilities.
-------------------------------
The evidence in Wuhan continues to mount and now even Fauci can't deny the possibility.
The question is why hasn't this been heavily investigated from the very beginning? Why the constant push back on the lab leak theory?
God only knows what Fauci and Peter Daszak are NOT telling us...

Aaaannnd....Dena has locked the Coronavirus discussion thread in the Watercooler and banned the topic.
Way to go everyone.
Probably for the best. All I did was defend myself from personal attacks for the past year and even when they were wrong, nobody ever apologized.
I'm going to continue posting stuff here as news comes to surface and I'd encourage everyone else to do the same. We can discuss politics here.

Ha, they pulled my post. Roy you can just imagine what else it said besides "they should've just banned you, problem solved". You should be the one apologizing.

The DAYS OF SHELDON comes to an end. What to do, what to do.....all those lonely souls seeking a voice in the Darkness. Oh well, there is here, as a waystation.

An interesting article on how and why the CDC calculated a 10% transmission rate of Covid-19 between people outdoors and what the actual numbers are.
Long story short? The CDC literally threw out the 10% number to err on the side of caution, even though statistically, outdoor transmission is rare and well below 1% based on evidence.
This is a great example of how misinformation creates undue stress on society and poor reporting and dissemination of information by those in charge creates confusion and mistrust.
Now if we could only get a real investigation into the origins of the pandemic in Wuhan, life would be peachy.

Nature is considered a good publication isn't it?
Just like the lab leak theory, which has been a real theory for over a year but nobody wanted to talk about, I've been wondering why nobody is talking about T and B cell immunity.
People who recover from mild COVID-19 have bone-marrow cells that can churn out antibodies for decades, although viral variants could dampen some of the protection they offer.
-----------------------------------
So, we've devolved to vaccinating children who are almost NOT susceptible to Covid at all with an experimental vaccine.
About 300 children have died from Covid in Canada and the US. That's 300 children out of 400,000,000 people.
Think about that.
There are more side effects from the vaccine than there are children who have died from Covid.
Additionally, we're vaccinating people who have already had Covid even though they likely have immunity in some shape or form and meanwhile poor countries around the world are suffering by the millions (and billions).
Shouldn't we be prioritizing them?
Why the huge push to vaccinate people who don't need to be vaccinated?
As the lockdowns are a wealthy society's luxury, so are the vaccinations now. It's just as much a status symbol now as it is a mitigation measure.

For the ignorant idjits who repeated over and over that the lab leak was a conspiracy theory, here is an article that not only explains how easily lab leaks happen but gives us 10 specific examples of lab leaks that have happened in the US.
Records obtained by the USA TODAY Network show hundreds of incidents have occurred in labs across the country in recent years. Here are a few examples of how things can go wrong.

Here is a terrific article stringing together many things about the lab leak theory, including how the some branches of the US government, the very people entrusted to watch over the American people, tried to suppress the investigation into the origins of the virus.
Things are starting to get interesting.
From the article (among many other gems)
A months long Vanity Fair investigation, interviews with more than 40 people, and a review of hundreds of pages of U.S. government documents, including internal memos, meeting minutes, and email correspondence, found that conflicts of interest, stemming in part from large government grants supporting controversial virology research, hampered the U.S. investigation into COVID-19’s origin at every step. In one State Department meeting, officials seeking to demand transparency from the Chinese government say they were explicitly told by colleagues not to explore the Wuhan Institute of Virology’s gain-of-function research, because it would bring unwelcome attention to U.S. government funding of it.
In an internal memo obtained by Vanity Fair, Thomas DiNanno, former acting assistant secretary of the State Department’s Bureau of Arms Control, Verification, and Compliance, wrote that staff from two bureaus, his own and the Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation, “warned” leaders within his bureau “not to pursue an investigation into the origin of COVID-19” because it would “‘open a can of worms’ if it continued.”
-----------------------------------
And another great article:

Shame the Covid thread got shut down on the CGC chat forum. So much great information coming out.
So, it seems that this 'experimental vaccine' is still creating complications in children beyond what they expected. Why are we vaccinating children again with a vaccine that we don't know enough about when the children are at negligible risk from the virus?
Remember, only 300 children - 300 out of 400,000,000 people in Canada and the US - have died.
More children die in car accidents each year and about the same number of children die from the flu every year. Actually, sometimes more children die from the flu as the CDC has stated that it 'may be as many as 600' one year.

This is amazing.
I dedicate it to dr banner and every other CGC forum member who laughed at the idea that the pandemic may have originated at the Wuhan Lab of Virology

This probably belongs in the media and gaslighting discussion but it's a Covid related article so it belongs here too.
For those that think that the government is transparent, open and is there only to do the will of the people, this article is for you.
Governments employ behavioral scientists that they call 'nudge units'. They're called that because their job, literally is to 'nudge' the public gently into doing what the government wants done. It's not only Canada, other countries do it.
It's not enough that they give us the facts, the manipulate our behavior using media outlets.
It's not even a secret. It's just that many don't realize it yet.
Until people realize how these systems work they're going to continue to turn us against each other.

As the lockdowns are a wealthy society's luxury, so are the vaccinations now. It's just as much a status symbol now as it is a mitigation measure.
So, on the CGC chat forums and on social media I got absolutely lambasted for suggesting that we don't need to be hysterically vaccinating children.
On social media I have even lost a few 'friends' over this discussion.
To me the hysteria was just over done and logically what was being pushed, to vaccinate children in such a hurry didn't make sense to me. The priority should be those vulnerable and also the poor countries and those in society who can't afford proper health care and are at risk.
It seems the WHO now agrees. What a co-incidence.
It seems that sometimes all the Googling and information in the world doesn't lead to common sense and logic.
Amazing.
