Hard to tell without scale, but these don't look very small. I believe that's a comb jellyfish. Apparently they can grow to 5ft.

I took it as the veteran teaching the noob how to deal with paparazzi, and it also reminds me of nature films showing a lioness teaching a cub to get serious. But that smile at the end was nice.
