Was not a fan of Homecoming, don't think I'll fall in love with this either. And yet, I must admit... the trailer looks pretty cool, particularly the special effects for Mysterio.
Can't say I'm excited for this, so let's just say "cautiously intrigued" for now.

Didn't care for Homecoming. This has to be an improvement. Trailer looks ok but it's probably at least 50% of the good bits. That MJ looks like she might rewrite the stars. Or something. No, I didn't say that.

I guess I'm just too used to sequels 'upping the stakes,' so to speak, like Spider-Man 2 and Toy Story 2. This looks more humble and small-scale, which is cool for a Spider-Man story but... looks kinda predictable. Mysterio will probably turn out to be a bad guy by the end, Spidey stops him and saves the day, perhaps redeeming Mysterio with some sappy speech, the end. Not really something for me to get excited about.
Then again, I might be wrong, but it's good to keep my hype low in case of disappointment (like with Homecoming).

What I want to know is why cast a Brit to play an American? It's a bit if a risk considering they have to pull off the accent for 2 hours + of movie.

Cumberbatch did just fine with Dr. Strange though. And to Holland's credit, he did it with a Queens accent. No Spider-Man actor ever portrayed Peter Parker (who's from QUEENS fyi) with a Queens accent.

I guess Brits must be cheaper to hire
