Just finished Upright and thought it was excellent. Highly recommend.  Started watching Beforeigners and I'm loving it. I thought it might be stupid, but it's really good. |

Twilight Zone (2019) - Twilight Zone with a modern flavour (read: strong language and sex references). Do you remember what made the original series so great? The twist at the end. It's the one thing this series lacks... great endings. Each episode is well shot and well acted, but is let down by an uninspired ending. Watch it if you've got nothing better to do.

Have you seen Escape Room? That's a modern (watered down) Cube. You can't beat Cube. Awesome. "Renn. Not Renz. It's French."

StagedIMDBThis show is truly funny. IMDB is currently giving it an 8.7 and I have to agree. Michael Sheen and David Tennant are hilarious. I highly recommend.

Squid Game IMDBWhen I first looked up the details and watched a trailer for this, I thought it looked too stupid to watch. But now that I've heard it discussed several times today as a runaway hit for Netflix, caused a riot somewhere (Paris?), etc.; I think I want to check it out and see what all the noise is about. Funny how that works, huh?

Funny how that works, huh? I heard it's really violent. It definitely is. I watched the first two episodes last night. It's better than I thought it would be, but it's super violent. For me, the background stories are good, but the games are pretty stupid. Oh, and the violence isn't realistic (which is probably good because there's so much of it), as there's tons of blood but no flesh or brains. It should have been named "Squib Games" since there's so many gunshot wounds.  |

I’ve watched the first three episodes.
Weird, intense, violent, and compelling as I want to see what happens next. I’m really liking the scenery, costumes, and props. That MC Escher looking group of stairs that’s been shown a few times is pretty cool and makes me hope there’s more interesting set design still to come. I have no idea where the story is going and that’s a good thing. That’ll keep me coming back.
