Yeah, it's like a painted/greytone cover. I actually have a sweet high grade copy of this issue. Me too. Got it at a Hal Kinney show many years ago in East Harford. Also got a 237 and 251 from the same seller. I stupidly sold the 251. Nik bought it, slabbed it and it came back 9.6 Have you seen what 9.6s of 251 are going for these days? Still have the 232 and 237 though Hey Jeffro you got a good eye! Wow came back as 9.6! Another lucky person and to own both of these too...Good stuff!

Batman #241? Classic Batman cover, a little different because of the Wright'son inks. Please be aware my picks have nothing to do with the book"s value. I totally missed that one! What an amazing cover! Thanks for the value tip....I guess if I go too much with my heart and buy a book literally for its cover I am just worried will have another book which might not be so hot if I do end up deciding selling it later for something maybe entirely by NA. Am going to have a look online and see the inside of this one. Thanks

I love the background style with the clash in styles a bit like the 227 good call! And the artwork is amazing. You'll kill me for saying this but the character of Ras al Ghul does not do it for me I don't know why! Dont throw stuff at me everyone but I also struggled with the Joker, I liked the Riddler, 2 Face etc... Batman #234 then maybe? I can't recall offhand an NA cover with the Riddler. Hmm, maybe I'll check... There is actually a 9.8 coming up for sale thanks for that pointer I saw the art inside its amazing too! Supposedly the price on the #234 is dropping and so if I can get a really good deal and can afford it I might go for it Especially as relative there are a lot of 9.8's of 234 out there! Thanks for thinking about the Riddler I would love a Riddle6 NA but don't know if it exists!

232.It's a good read and i've always thought it was a beautiful cover, especially in nice shape.Love those colours. Yeah, it's like a painted/greytone cover. Hi All! I would love to get your feedback. Here is my quandary. If you were able to buy only 1 high grade Batman or Detective Comics or Brave and Bold from the Bronze Age. Which one would it be? I need to take into account that it needs to be a Neal Adams as the Art is amazing and definitely my favourite Batman and I imagine will hold its value (correct me if I am wrong please )much better (although expensive!) I am struggling between approx 6 issues for different reasons! His artwork also seemed to get better the later the edition. As well as amny good episodes you think stand out? The 255 Batman (werewolf) for example the cover is pretty bad looking in my eyes. Thanks guys! 251. It's Neal at the very peak of his skill and ability, the greatest Batman villain of all, and Bats. It's one of the greatest single issue comics of all time. You are right! I just checked the interior on an online site and it is truly kick butt art..he seemed to get better later but not too later if you know what I mean.Although iconic looking the cover does not do it for me as Batman is not the main center piece. So not sure as would possibly want to display it

However if there is a cover that is amazing to you and you think it will still keep its value like the ones that have the interior as well I am game!

Thanks Ditch Fahrenheit! I guess I didn't explain myself really well. There are light parts where it should be black and was not sure if it was discolouration or a wave from the plastic bag showing up from the scanner perhaps .... Thanks for your expertise ruling out "Creep Engine!" I wasn't sure how to zoom in the photo and paste it but will give it a shot- totally terrible IT skills!

Wow thanks guys I don't even know how you know when the case is dated by! Its sort of a lighter line of 1 centimeter thick like its discoloured..so not sure if its a scanner or wavy line at this point! I wasn't sure how to zoom in for you guys to show you. If you get a chance to go to the link and look at the max picture you can click on you will be able to see it. Thanks again guys. I thought it might be "Creep Engine" which I just learnt from the expertise of this site on Youtube

Hi Folks, The book I am looking at purchasing seems to have the wavy lines going in horizontally or is this something else? Under the feet of the Tarzan logo on the left there is a lighter line going half way across that stops at the man holding the spear... I have asked this somewhere else on the forum but still not sure what to make of this.... www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=378739

Expensive...? Must be all that quality humour *parps* Yeah, they were in clear sealed bags so you couldn't see inside. I want to say they were $8-9. Hey steveinthecity, Where was that, that you found those UK comics? Well they out them n bags and treated them much better than in the UK, I don't think there are any shops over there that have a selection of locals comics in good condition (I am speaking for London mainly...although have not been up to date n the comic book shops for a while now)

I actually live in the US now but partly grew up in the UK and hence growing up with those titles. I remember buying US comics but they were modified slightly, the paper, size etc were different. Didn't know you were in the UK Bats! Ah ha! Now it all makes sense I was wondering why you were talking about UK comics. Yes, some of the UK editions were different. Bigger with different paper. Many had collected stories. I had a lot of these but sadly, no longer. Were you born in the US, then moved to the UK, if I may ask? Hey Bats, no the other way round! Born in the UK and then moved over here about 6 years ago! I also remember the US comics published in the UK would sometimes do 2 pages n colour and 2 pages in black and white. Has anyone here read Tintin by any chance?
