The songs are too damn long! Ya know, Master of Puppets doesn't have one song under 5 minutes And Tool songs average at just of 6. That extra minute makes all the difference

Tool is the one band that is very highly regarded that I just can't get on board with. Not sure why but there it is. If I'd known you guys were tool is stool talking I would have been hanging around.A lot. I love teasing tool fans.Terrible band

Speaking of songs too long, I was listening to some early Deep Purple the other week. Their first three albums are pretty psychedelic, big fan. I'd take the HARD ROCK version of Deep Purple too, but maybe like on a 'best of' basis instead of full albums.
April is a particular favorite. If you've never heard it and don't think it's any good after giving it a go, at least listen to the last six or so minutes when they rock it out.

I've always said the biggest bang for the buck is used paperbacks. Hours of enjoyment for comparative pennies!

I love, love LOVE the little book box libraries that are set up on street corners, parks and such.Even find comics sometimes!(and not a few valuable sci fi/pulpy books)Every spring we put out around three milkcrates of stuff that's piled up over the winter, from boxes or thriftstores, the rare brand new buy. Here's a bit of my latest finds.Reading the Fantastic Spider-Man trade right now.-buys for cheap, not freebie finds! Sorry to crowd your journal, the boys(spaceman and Linus) made me do it!
