Slim pickings this weekend, went to one sale that had some comics. Just one short box to look through. Bought a first print of Rachel Rising 1 for a buck and that was the highlight.
Something, at least. Keep looking for that Batman #1.

That's a series I want to collect, but the price is way more than what I want to pay for it. I would gladly pick them up if I can find them for $1 each though.

I never heard of it, but like many Moderns I've only learned about them by my comic hunting and message board haunting. That was how I ended up reading some Chew, Mind Mgt, Thief of Thieves, etc. I'll probably read this first issue of Rachel Rising while I scan and list it on eBay.

Not a big fan of the style. Story was okay I guess but overall I wouldn't say I was a fan.

I've stopped buying all moderns since Walking Dead ended earlier this year. Before that, I was a pretty regular buyer of the Archie Horror line as well, Afterlife, Jughead and Sabrina. But I stopped buying those series sometime in 2017. I'm afraid I'm just a back-issue now.

Sold the Pope comic again. Man that's an easy flip every time! When I list on eBay I like to fill in the entire title character allowance, so many of my listings will highlight a character or a story line, etc., etc. For the Pope comic I like to put Pontiff! in the title as an inside joke just for me. It's a journal of weirdness, folks....

Archie must stay afloat financially from the digest reprints and whatever revenue they get from the TV show and related merchandise. Their publishing schedule has been so erratic and announced books books never appearing, etc., I'm surprised anyone still follows their titles anymore.

2136: A Post-Apocalyptic Novelby Matthew Thrush From the #1 Amazon bestselling author of over twenty-three novels comes a new adventure in a world destroyed by war. Can you survive the apocalypse? An aptitude test separates people into three classes at birth. 23-year old Willow is the last Divine on Earth. Proc 1 is the first of the floating sanctuaries the classes strive to ascend to. When a covert group sneaks Willow on board, she assumes an identity not her own, and unleashes a virus that kills everyone on the ship but her. When the bodies begin to rise from the ashes of the disembodied ship on the eastern shores of New Jersey, she must choose to save herself or save the world. Didn't hit up any sales this weekend but the local comic shop was having a special Comicfest sale on Saturday. Went through their dollar boxes and sifted out a few goodies, including two pre-Unity Valiant issues and an Armorines Fall Fling Preview Edition (what's that doing in the dollar bins?), and a bunch of other stuff that will be used to make up sets.
Found a Superman 75 black bag edition without the bag or contents that I can matchup with the empty bag and contents missing the comic that I bought at a different LCS a couple of years ago.
Plus another copy of the Pope comic. Why not?
Was looking for, but didn't find, DC Universe issues, and any newsstand editions post-2010.

Are you talking about Paul Pope or the Marvel autobiographical comic or the comic Battle Pope?
