Went to what I thought was the Bellmore indoor festival by Dang BBQ on Sunday. The gun show was there instead. Went to the Merrick Train Station Flea Market. That made the Bellmore Train Station Flea Market appear very high end. Shrugged and went home. Is the Bellmore Lions Club flea market still at the hall behind the Jiffy Lube and Dang BBQ or has it moved? The winter home of the Bellmore flea market is at the temple in Merrick down on Clubhouse Road south of Merrick Road. Just got back and did the rounds. I was tempted by a vintage Tonka Truck to put at the foot of a table in my home office but then I remembered I could just get the one that is still at my parent's house and clean it up. I did the rounds today and that led me to the Temple on Clubhouse Road. Thanks for that as I did not know about that. Then I looped around to the Merrick Train Station Flea Market. I walked around. Saw some interesting things and then came across the WWII artifacts table. I looked it over for the novelty of it as the pieces were in very nice condition so much so you could still make out insignia's on the helmets and daggers and things. I walked away when I saw the lightening bolts. I want no part of that. Went home and here I am. Going home empty handed wasn't that bad of a thing.

What is behind the Dang BBQ / Jiffy Lube? I have never been. The American Legion Post south of Merrick Rd on Penatiquit Ave used to be the indoor home for some Flea Markets. It looks like the Merrick Train Station one and the Bellmore Train Station one will overlap at some point. I think that that the American Legion Post is a splinter of one of those groups while the Temple one is for the other.

WHY Dunno, I am not getting involved in an image hosting site ever again. I am STILL getting notifications from Photobucket that my account is about to be deactivated. I wish they would just deactivate it already.

I just called somewhere and asked a question and the lady said she would find out and call me back. I said omg you will be the first person to ever call me back! She said what do you mean? I said no one ever calls back. She laughed and said I will call you back.
She never called me back.

Did some dollar box diving yesterday, the Junk Shop had nine new longs in, but they were 'from a new guy' and there wasn't much there. I think I got about 20 comics, pretty bad. Also hit up a new spot (to me) some warehouse with a bunch of junk in it. There were about a dozen longs and I managed to find about 60 comics at a buck each. Found a few that I liked, my usual stuff. There were some good 80s indies in these boxes.

I have never seen good comics at one and I've been to dozens across many states. Just not an item that they stock or know anything about really. I think antique dealers if they think of it at all, have a 'comic guy' or 'paper guy' that they call in whenever they run across that sort of thing and if it's worth anything they'll take it cheap and that's the end of that.

They tend to think along the lines of "This comic is 50 years old!!!" yeah 1973 Lois lane or Casper is really worth a ton dude.
