The second season of The OA just started. I like this show. The writers are very creative and keep changing things up in bizarre, unpredictable, new directions.

We watched Dark tower last night. I haven't read all the books, and I heard many fans were unhappy with the film, though I never read up on why in any great detail. If Stephen King or anyone had not wrote this as a series of novels, and this was just a film, it wasn't that bad though it lacked in character development. As an adaptation of the great series, holy - What an over-simplification!

I've just come back from watching Shazam! at the cinema. I was lucky enough to catch a late morning showing while my daughter was at school. I have to say it wasn't bad. My only real bugbear would be they deviated from the original storylines a bit too much, although their take on Dr Sivana certainly darkened things down in true DCEU fashion. And it was a little slow to start with the character development.
If you don't like Shazam! (which I guess you probably don't) then wait until it comes out on Netflix. Or whatever device it is you kids are using these days.
I also caught the trailer for X-Men Dark Phoenix. Bearing in mind trailers are supposed to be a collection of the best bits, that is not going to be a good movie. Sophie Turner's (Jean Grey) acting was atrocious.

Hadn't heard of it. I wasn't familiar with the pop culture people. Kind of a small cast? [/quote] They spelled Spider-Man wrong

Sophie Turner's (Jean Grey) acting was atrocious. I heard that Dark Phoenix was supposed to be out months ago, but they had to re shoot a bunch of it, because it was terrible.
I am totally not surprised that this is going to suck, considering how bad Apocalypse was. Such a shame that the movie was so terrible, but the book price for Xfactor #6 hasn't fallen enough for me to get a 9.8 canadian variant. (I have a 7.0 one that I picked up in '98 for $20 at a local store.)
As for Sophie Turner, the best she can do is just bare those breasts on GoT already and call it a day.

I knew the ending of the movie, 5 mins into it.
It was overly drawn out, I get it, trying to tie up things, but seriously, was pretty disappointing. Have to admit, Carol Danvers haircut made her sexier than she ever was.
The terrible one liner jokes was reminiscent of the 70's books at least.
I'd be very surprised if you don't know what I'm talking about.

Ted Cassidy was "only" 6'9"? I thought he was 7'2".
I guess this ad didn't help.
And I KNEW that was his voice at the beginning The Incredible Hulk tv show.

WEtv runs mini marathons of old Law & Order episodes (all 3 series), and this morning it's Criminal Intent. I looked up at the credits and saw Gerry Conway was the Producer. I looked it up- He's the same Gerry Conway from comics
