There's a lot of bands I love that most people have never heard of. If you say *insert Band X*, the usual response is "Who?!", then you play a track and they say "that's crap". There's a few metalheads and lovers of hardcore here, so I'm guessing that list would be a lot smaller.
Here's one that no one else loves...
Ludovico Einaudi - Islands (Minimalist composer despised by both lovers of classical and popular music).

The Rock Peter and the Wolf is an album adapting Sergei Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf by Jack Lancaster and Robin Lumley released in 1975. As the title suggests, it features a rock arrangement of Prokofiev's music. Performers on the album include Jack Lancaster, Robin Lumley, Gary Brooker, Bill Bruford, Phil Collins, Julie Driscoll, Stephane Grappelli, Jon Hiseman, Brian Eno, Alvin Lee, Gary Moore, Cozy Powell, Manfred Mann, Keith Tippett, Viv Stanshall, and the English Chorale.

Dad had that album too. Lonely Bull was pretty cool. I'm listening to a "Greatest Hits" from 1970 and some of the first few songs like "Spanish Flea" and "Love Potion #9" I already know. So much of this is familiar. I wonder where I would have heard these? In an elevator? Sorry, I just discovered this thread. I won't ruin it

No Dwayne Johnson. I am disappoint.

Early "R 'N B" Manfred Mann (the band, not the individual). Awesome.
