I had to sit through Heart too because of a woman. If it had been the old Barracuda Heart that would've been okay, but this was the mid-80s These Dreams fat Wilson sisters Heart. Yuch.YOU TAKE THAT BACK! Anne was the only fat one, Nancy didn't plump up and is still gorgeous to this day! (Sorry, have always had a little crush on Nancy the guitar player...) She's a cow. weeeeeeeeeeee j/k, she's a babe still.

How about Dokken opening for Sammy Hagar, does that seem weird? I probably wouldn't have thought so back then. My first concert was Pat Travers, Cheap Trick, & B.O.C. Pat Travers should have headlined, but Say what? Cheap Trick or BOC open for headliner Pat Travers? That sounds crazy. Were BOC and Cheap Trick unknown at the time?

One of the coolest shows I ever saw was Motorhead, Dio, and Iron Maiden at the Meadows in Hartford. My ears didn't stop ringing until about noon the next day.

Also saw Dio with Kings X at the Webster back in 2002. I was standing about 5 feet in front of Ronnie. That was awesome as hell

Well she plumped up a little too. She probably stopped doing coke and was just adjusting back to her normal weight But you're right, she never became a heifer like Anne.

I don't remember that show, was it in the early 90s?. I did see Motorhead open for Slayer at the West Hartford Ballroom.

I didn't see too many shows at the Meadows, but it reminds me of a woman made me go story and some weird pairings. One year all my wife wanted for her birthday was to go see Pearl Jam. They were playing The Meadows so I got tickets. I don't hate them so it wasn't too bad, but this show got crazy. I'm sure Jeffro remembers they had a bit of a riot there that night To be fair to Johanna, she has a bunch of My man dragged me to a suckfest stories too. I think she enjoyed the experience more than the music at some of them. We did see a weird pairing that she wanted to see at a weird place. We saw Public Enemy open for Anthrax when they were doing Bring the Noise together. It was at the Gampel Pavilion on the University of Connecticut campus. I also saw Rage Against the Machine at The Meadows, and the opening "band" was Wu Tang Clan. Kind of a weird pairing but not real strange. I saw Lalapolooza 1997 at the Meadows. The line up iirc was Ziggy Marley then Korn then Snoop Dogg then Tool.

How about Dokken opening for Sammy Hagar, does that seem weird? I sort of saw the same thing. The bill was Van Halen (Hagar)/Scorpions/Dokken/Metallica/Kingdom Come. I wasn't really familiar with Dokken, but they sounded pretty good. I've enjoyed bands live that I otherwise thought I wouldn't like, Dokken being one.

I saw that one too, that was Monsters of Rock 1987, after ...And Justice For All came out. Saw that one at Foxboro (Patriots stadium). The first Dokken show I saw was at The Orpheum in Boston before Sammy joined Van Halen (April 1985), I think it was the Three Lock Box tour.

Was just reminded of a band that I hate: King Crimson. I was so disappointed when I heard Maynard really liked them.
