I present to you, my fellow comic book enthusiasts, my collection of books that I have placed in Mylar so that I never have to change the bags/boards ever again. Some of these are part of other "subsets", but I've put them all together here in one location for your enjoyment.
I know some of these aren't particularly high grade, but I don't intend to sell them soon if ever. I bought three different sizes of bags and found that I don't like the fit of copper/early modern comics in the "modern" size bags. I will be adding more to this thread as I dig through my collection and acquire new books.
Let's start off with the most important book in my collection. It's not "valuable" to anyone but me and isn't in great shape, but it is the first comic I ever bought & started me down this path of obsession.
Dateline: November 1988. I was walking through a local grocery store one day looking at the magazines on the rack to see if they had anything I wanted to read. I knelt down to see the bottom shelf and there it was, staring at me like I was the next thing on the buffet. I took it home and read it three times, I was hooked. Up to that point in my life, my only exposure to comics was G.I. Combat comics I read as a preteen. The Haunted Tank was my favorite. But I hadn't read any in years, and I think my grandmother had some Marvel Treasury books at some point, but they didn't seem to interest me then. I find it amazing that I've held onto this one through all my efforts to upgrade my collection with higher grade books.
