How the Moderation Process Works
Philosophy
1) Moderation will always be consistent and fair.
2) Moderation will never be used as a tool to harass or intimidate.
3) Moderation will always be considered as a tool to correct behavior and encourage positive contributions, rather than to simply eliminate problem individuals.
How to Report Something to Moderation
All moderation requests are now required to be channeled through the 'Post Reporting' system which is located in the drop-down gear menu on every post. Please do not send a PM. If you have an issue with something happening elsewhere on the forum, just find a related post, report it, and explain the situation clearly in the 'Reason' field. All reports are completely private.
What to Expect If You Create a Moderation Request
1) The moderation team will review, and if deemed appropriate, act upon your request in a timely manner (usually within 24 hours).
2) You will not receive a response, regardless of whether action is taken or not, unless further information or clarification is required.
3) If moderation action is taken, it will be publicly recorded in the TCBF Moderation List.
What to Expect If You Are Moderated
1) The moderation team will send you a private message containing a Violation Notice and also record it publicly in the TCBF Moderation List.
2) The Violation Notice will contain either a warning, or an explanation of the moderation action being taken.
3) All warnings and moderation actions are considered final - do not attempt to escalate, circumvent, or debate them. You may politely respond to the private message, but you will not receive a reply.
4) All warnings and moderation actions are at the sole discretion of the moderation team. Repeat offenders should expect increasing moderation actions.

This forum has a very powerful Block/Ignore Feature which when configured correctly can mask any individual's presence from your digital perception. If someone irritates you, simply employ this feature.
